I would use the Blues Driver for my main rhythm tone and the Super Overdrive as a boost for leads.

That's a thick fat singing sound, great for playing leads. I really like this tone, great for playing leads. Haha, seriously though - probably the beat video showing this pedals - thanks!

To me, when i see the "Inspected in Japan" it means that it wasn't made in Japan. And that may be a concern (quality fo the components and the craftmanship). But the pedals sounds great anyway. Thanks for the great review Mitch !

interesting, but I think the self oscillation in the actual dm-2 is better than the dm-2w. The dm-2w's oscillation sounded like what you can produce from an ordinary delay. Nevertheless, the 600ms feature is very promising

They sound great, but wouldn't it be cool if boss introduced a new enclosure, just to have something different?
@HitmanJenkins110 жыл бұрын
Their current enclosures are built like a brick shithouse. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
@LemmyKoopaVGA10 жыл бұрын
Nathan Howard BOSS has been broken for years. I'm glad they're finally trying new technology instead of having their heads up their asses for 15 years straight to the point that all the other companies have better quality sounding products than BOSS. Seriously, most of BOSS's pedals sound fake and thin.
@HitmanJenkins110 жыл бұрын
Lemmy Koopa I have no idea why you're talking about sound when the subject matter here is their enclosure, but whatever floats your boat I guess. Distortions aside, most of their pedals are alright.
@LemmyKoopaVGA10 жыл бұрын
Nathan Howard Because you said "If it ain't broke, then don't fix it". Most of their distortions are already broke, as in they sound like crap.
@HitmanJenkins110 жыл бұрын
Lemmy Koopa And that was in reference to their enclosures, not their sound. Your complaining is irrelevant here, even though you make a good point.

Is it me or did the drive pedals sound muffled?
@MrHugosantos198210 жыл бұрын
I agree, but that may not be from the pedals themselves, there's a ton of things that can muffle the sound in a recorded video...

The neutral sound he starts with is awful

This new DM-2W sounds really dull and muffled (heavily low-pass filtered), and full of degraded repeats very quickly. Nothing in common with the first generation DM-2, except the name and looks. Inside this DM-2W are inexpensive Cool Audio BBD delay chips, and not the high quality Panasonic MN3005 or even MN3205 found in the original DM-2/3. Those Cool Audio chips are the same chips used in the very inexpensive Behringer VD400. While they're a very good value for a Behringer product in that price range ($30), it's definitely not up to par with Roland/Boss products. And especially not at this price point ($180).
