Best demo of this unit to date - the text explaining the control buttons is really helpful - and nice playing by the way 😊 - thanks!

Just got mine last week. Traded in my Helix LT for it. The effects are so much better. The amp modeling sounds awesome too. Those who are putting it down because it doesn’t sound exactly like a certain amp don’t get it. If I wanted it to sound exactly like a certain amp then I would just go buy that particular amp. This is a device that lets you be creative and come up with whatever sounds you want. Glad I bought it!

If it sounds good, it is good. Don’t get hung up on “does it sound like tube amp x” and use your ears. I’ve gigged with both tube amps and modelers and have gotten good results from both.

Gazzy Burns you're wrong. The best is fractal audio with the axe fx unit!!!
@deeseen34956 жыл бұрын
Totally agree with you Gazzy. We've spent many weeks with the Helix and the AxeFx units here in production but the Boss units seem to be generally more pleasing all round really for us in a live band situation. Although you still cant beat a full analog gtr path which we seem to always end up with for tours.

I really want this to sound good so there are more choices out there in the 1000.00 range and this demo is better then the Namm videos but it still sounds like an over processed toy. I hope as more people get their hands on them we get some better examples of what the unit can do. How about a video showing some of the amp and cab models with just a little reverb on it. This sounds too much like the GT-100 and GT-1 and if it were a 500-700 replacement for them I think it would do well but competing with the Helix LT and Ax8 I think it leaves a lot to be desired.

Thank you for the Video but I need to ask you about the your AIRD Output select from the GT1000 ... is it Recording ?? And also are you connecting your GT1000 directly to your Computer audio interface or to a guitar Amp ?? The factory sounds in your demo sounds different than what I have here ... That's why I am asking to try to figure it out Thanks again
@Techo13293 жыл бұрын
They have it connected to an interface so they would be using the 'Recording' output select. If you want it to sound like it does in this video you will need run it to a pair of FRFR monitors, and use the same guitar, otherwise it'll sound a lot different due to the characteristics of the guitar and amp you are using plus the room acoustics. 4CM is recommended to get the best integration with an amp, and the FX return will give the best results for the inbuilt Boss amps. Takes time to sort the amp integration, but once you do it's awesome. I recommend using Premium Drive preset, and then cycle through all the different 'Output Select' modes to find which one sounds the best on your rig. Note you have to use 'Recording' if you want to use an IR. Also note that even when running to your FX return, your amp may sound/behave differently on different channels. On my Marshall I found that the amp tone controls still functioned on the FX return on Overdrive channels, but not on the clean channel. When connected to an amp the 'Output Select' makes a massive difference so you have to cycle through them all and let your ears decide. I found my Marshall rig sounds best using the Nextone Artist Return.

I usually dislike these type of units (I've owned or tried out several) and only clicked on this video with only a passing interest. It actually sounds very good. Are there any latency issues? I'd only use this for direct recording and headphone practice.
@MrTyphoontyphoon6 жыл бұрын
i agree with you buddy . but if you play in bars , or little gigs usually filled with drunktards, it is better to have that kind of unit, on the Pa, or on a FRFR loudspeaker, ( powered ) i have both, i have the gt 1000, and the heardrush ( supposed to be 2000watts lol ) but good enough for gigging. after that,for big gigs or playing with friend, i have my old 1959' marsall and triple rectifier . there's no comparison, at all, but one is cheaper for gigging with a sound that is not so bad .and your back will say thank you :)

Hello! Please make up data to the BOSS Tone Studio program for GT 100 v2 so that when I transfer a patch from one column to another column it has the "cut" function to remove it with the move. Also it would be useful a function of alphabetical arrangement of the patches in the column for the simplicity of their search / arrangement. Another problem would be the need to select three - four patches to delete them from the respective column. Thank you!

BOSS GT-1000 / BOSS GT-1000 Core Good day friends!) I found out that the speaker cabinet does not work separately from the amplifier. To anyone owning this unit, looking down at the unit, where do the (3) cords lead to all the way to the right? I know the one jack all the way to the right is guitar in but where do the other 2 leads go to? Anyone have any input on running this directly into the front of a tube amp or should the 4 cord method be used as directed by other videos I have seen? Thanks.
@Techo13293 жыл бұрын
4CM all the way, especially if you want to use the Amp blocks and/or use IR's. 4CM allows you to do anything with your signal chain, from pure dry to the amp input, or use the FX RTN, or both and everything in between. Boss says this is recorded direct, so the two output cables would be running to whatever recording interface they used.

On the boss guide for the gt-1000 they suggest running it through their katanas (2 for stereo/panning type effects). Or 2 flat response amps (works best for effects modelers/processers).
