Watching Max play truly makes you realize how everyone's playthrough is unique to them. The first Hippo boss is literally through the front door of the shadow keep and yet he beat the location by going in another way. Love Elden Ring.

Romina is my favorite boss in this whole game. Such a horrificly beautiful design, incredible attacks that are a spectacle but understandable to avoid, BEAUTIFUL track, and a gorgeous enviorment. She's everyything I want in a boss fight.

Romina theme is so majestic. It's one of the two they used in the story trailer. The whole dlc in general is a huge upgrade in term of music and everything imo

That supposed crap special from the martial arts weapon (palm blast) completely trivializes all of the "duel" fights in the dlc. The ones in those small buildings like the Gaol Knight in the first area. It has super armor and damage reduction while charging it. And the full charge puts them in a hard knockdown, giving you the chance to either heal whatever you tanked or start charging the next palm blast. You basically bully them to death.

I just waited behind one of the pillars on the platform at the 50 min mark for a minute and the furnace golem walked off the waterfall onto the lower platform then walked off that to it's doom

Max if you get the weapon that the enemies at 10:50 use (the club thing) and combine it with the Crags Blade Ash of War it does over 124 bleed build up they don't drop it randomly there's a specific spot where it can be found by killing one of the enemies in a specific group the location is off to the left side of the map from where you got your first Scadu Tree Fragment from which is near the first giant Fire Guardian

You can tell Max is like me I love the base game Elden Ring who read all the lore in the game 1st playthrough just like Max did. But you can tell Max energy isn’t the same in this dlc because he even says in this playthrough he doesn’t care about the lore in this DLC game. So he stoped reading the lore on new weapons/clothing/items and stopped paying attention or trying to figure out what’s going on in the storyline of the dlc.😂 I’m glad I didn’t buy the dlc because it doesn’t seem as fun as the base game from watching the playthrough of this game. So hopefully we get that Bloodborne Remake (or update 60fps patch for the PS4 version on ps5) or Bloodborne 2 after this.🙏🏽

You commit to every action you take, so you can't just press buttons and cancel everything when you react to something, as you would in other action games. That commitment could probably turn new players off because they may feel the game's controls are not responsive enough. I wouldn't call _Elden Ring_ combat "clunky" though.

@@michaelschneider1365 Fromsoft combat for the past 10 years hasn't been clunky, it's one of the most well tuned systems in it's genre. Keep in mind that it doesn't mean it's super fast paced where you can dodge at any time like in devil may cry or something similar

​@@michaelschneider1365 it's very tight and responsive. How it feels depends heavily on which weapon u pick, just like for example with monster hunter. Heavy colossal weapons are gonna play slow and u have to be patient, curved swords or rapiers are fast and u can zoom around and get many hits in. U have s while dodging and jumping is also a very good tool to avoid attacks

You dont really need to do much exploring on the expansion. Most of the armor and weapons drop from enemies, so exploring doesn't give you much aside from tree seeds.

@@CatsamexYeah technically he played it a second time on ng+, but that was a 7 hour play through from the start to mohg, and it was only because the dlc was out. There’s no way he was exploring the unexplored areas within those 7 hours and he only played it on ng+ because of the dlc, and there won’t be another dlc most likely so he’s probably not going to play this again.
