Yeah, I do notice that GE chug with those things take off they do remind me of the P 42s on I Amtrak because oddly enough, they were designed by the same man

It's good to know that while I'm stuck at home mowing, mulching, pruning shrubs, potting plants, and painting my decks - Tim Hosey is out there railfanning and relaxing. One day I'm gonna do that once my 'honeydew' list is finished.
@3985uprr3 жыл бұрын
It’s not as if I don’t address certain responsibilities. The railfanning is merely done in the holes. Yesterday wasn’t quite so relaxing. It was a long rigorous day and I hope I never have a day like that again. Many of my railfanning days were far less rigorous

My favorite! MBTA is my home railroad, though technically its Amtrak, but.. wait.. nice video! I would say Forest Hills TF Green and Canton are my favorite MBTA railfanning stations, as my content is based off RI and MA. I too love the 3c's as we call them.

That lovely chug those HSPS make is the same one you get from a lot of those Dash-9s as it’s the same GEVO prime mover. With the weight of these cars they definitely need the 4600 horsepower. I do see that in the future the T is looking to go for EMUs but don’t hold your breath on that Only thing missing from GE is that air compressor that goes whoop when it cuts in like amtraks P42s do Also these heavy bi levels are a cousin of what Miamis TRI-Rail runs

Wife and I rode through here in early 2021. It was a bit cold due to being the middle of winter, but Boston looked like a nice place. The station was fantastic, the 1st class Amtrak lounge was nice too. Everything was pretty quiet due to the pandemic unfortunately.

I also can’t wait until next year when the south coast rail opens up that is the extension of the Middleborough Lakeville line to Taunton with branches to fall River in New Bedford with one of the stops being right across from the battleship, USS, Massachusetts, which was the only World War II battleship to actually be built in the state it was named after I sure will be booking a ride on it when it opens

I'm from Australia a far way from there. When I found about these trains through Train Sim World ( game ) since a core update is coming called rush hour with three new routes and Boston to Providence is one of them it comes with ACS-64 and the F40PH-3C we got the acs-64 back in the old train sim world game TSW2020 and was curious about the F40PH-3C cause it was a new train coming to the game. When I searched it up and had a look at it and the stuff about it I began to like them which seems like we have that in common. When i try to search up the F40PH-3C it comes up with the Boston Providence route cause thats what i searched up the first time and a lot of the trains I saw was the F46PH or whatever it's called or The Garfeild I was always getting sick of seeing these trains and I still do. Great video bro. Have a good one

I must admit I’m an EMD maniac. Those HSP’s are loaded with GE parts. They have had lots of problems with those engines. Just don’t like the appearance of those. The F40’s are great. The paint scheme on the rebuilds to me rank right up there with the all time best.

The Orange Line cars were built by Kawker - Siddeley of Canada there are 120 cars numbered # 01200 - # 01319 the MBTA also has a fleet of commuter engines in the # 1100 series rebuild CN GP - 40’ s for commuter service from South Station there is a new commuter rail line to Braintree and in the summer time the MBTA has a commuter rail train that goes to Cape Cod it runs on the old New Haven rails to Buzzard Bay you need to check out the north side of the MBTA commuter rail lines from North Station the lines pass by the MBTA commuter rail shops where they repair the commuter rail equipment you will also see the m of w engines there too

Also here is a funny story about how I think it was near Attleboro one day one of these MBTA locomotive had a stack fire (POS HSP46) which took out the caternaries And they had to send MBTA diesel locomotive spring the Amtrak’s into South Station who were electric and it was a crap shoot as every Amtrak train coming in had to have an MBTA diesel pull it in from providence along with its own train

the south coast rail project is the trying to bring that Stoughton to New Bedford in fall River line back but there is some NIMBY is I’m going on the Towns of Easton in Raynham to me, I can’t stand those NIMBYs those people who NIMBY a transit project in my eyes deserve $50 a gallon gasoline Also that goes to those privileged knuckleheads in garden city who NIMBYed the LIRR triple track project.
