Boston in 2 days was pretty rough...there is so much to do and see. 2 days is not nearly long enough to see everything this historic city has to offer. That being said, what did we miss? What are some of your favorite places in or near Boston?

this video was so damn unique from all the other boston travel videos. I loved it because... as americans you showed the things that you valued rather than just the touristy stuff. I absolutely loved your video.

You two are the best. You don't drag and get to the point. We are seniors and 2 days (6-17-22) and are going to follow your suggestions also on a budget. Thank you for a great video.

Thanks for the video. I'm sure there are lots of beautiful sunsets, but my most beautiful was in Key West, seen from Fort Zachory Taylor State park, not only is the tour of the fort nice, but the sunset was AMAZING!

That little old brick building in the middle of the city is the Old State House - the state house that was used during colonial times up until the "new" and current State House was built in 1798. The Old North Church also has cool crypts some of which contain the remains of British officers killed during the battle of Bunker Hill - such as Major Pitcairn who was one of the leading British officers at the battles of Lexington and Concord. The Old Granary Burial ground also holds the bones of the victims of the Boston Massacre, Sam Adams, James Otis, John Hancock and Mother Goose. Faneuil Hall - which was unfortunately undergoing renovations when you were there, is called the "Cradle fo Liberty" - many famous speeches have been given there including many that led up to the American Revolution. Can't even begin to list the number of famous people who have spoken there. You should come back when you have more time. There is so much more than the Freedom Trail. Off the top of my head - Fenway Park, The Science Museum, The JFK Presidential Library, Harvard, MIT, Quincy Market, Downtown Crossing and Old South Meeting House, New England Aquarium, Boston Museum of Fine Arts (incredible), Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum (scene of the largest art heist in world history), Beacon Hill, The Back Bay, Boston Museum of Modern Art, Copley Square, Cheers Pub, Union Oyster House, observatory on top of the Prudential Center, Trinity Church, Arlington Street Church (with it's amazing collection of Tiffany stained glass windows) Copley Mall and Prudential Shops and by all means, take a Duck Tour. 😊

Actually, the USS Constitution is (sort of) the original ship. However, there isn't much of the hull that is original since every piece of wood has been replaced in the 200 plus years since it was originally built. It remains the oldest officially commissioned naval ship in America. The Boston Tea Party ship, however, is a replica. (Edit: apparently some other people have already pointed this out!)

The ship USS Constitution is not a replica, but the real thing!

The USS Constitution is not a reproduction. She is very much the original. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Constitution

Wow! Thanks for sharing! I don't know how we missed that. We were really bummed out that we didn't make it to the dock in time to get on it and see it up close.

My husband and I don't mind walking here and there but do not want to take public transportation that is just outrageous in relation to the distance you would take. If we parked in the Boston Common garage, would this allow us to do everything you mentioned in Boston? Also, where did you stay?
@WheelingToDream3 жыл бұрын
That's exactly what we did for this trip. We parked in the Boston Common, (which is where the Freedom Trail starts) and we walked everywhere from here. I would say from the Boston Common to the Bunker Hill memorial, you will travel around ten to twelve miles, we did end up taking the ferry back because we were cooked at that point. We were staying in a state park about half an hour outside of town.

You can take the MBTA to a lot of places. The different trains run all over the city.
