Bluegrass and southern gospel....so, Alison Krause + Union Station, Live (2002)... @Barstool ProphetOh, I’m with ya on lots of those. I love Yes, Kansas, Styx, and of course Led Zeppelin. It really is crazy hard to choose just 10. Funny how neither of us picked the Beatles. I like some of their songs, but for whatever reason, I just never got into the whole full on devotion thing. Maybe because they broke up before I was born, idk. 'What kind of song is this?' The 1970s AM and FM radio airwaves were a veritable cornucopia of musical styles and genres and a lot of bands that refused to be pigeonholed. I feel BLESSED to have grown up in that decade! In my humble opinion, corporations have taken mainstream music to a mundane, trite graveyard.

This album came out when I was in high school, the sound was different from anything else out there. Pretty much every song on the album got air play on the radio. Still one of my all time favorite albums. The sound layers that went into this is just phenomenal.

You guys have a LOT to look forward to with Boston. Every song you hear will be your new favorite classic rock song. Not kidding. This album is Da Bomb! Their 2nd album was great, too. But you only get to make a huge first impression splash out of nowhere once - and no one could get enough Boston in the late 70’s. I still play them - they’re so good they’re timeless. Those were happier times back then - my high school days!

Boston was my 1st concert at WSU in 1978. They had just finished overseas tour and were so happy being home that they put on one of the greatest concerts Ive ever seen. Ive seen many bands living in Seattle. In high school Boston WAS the band to get people ready to party!!!!

You guys are Hilarious... Love watching this. As one of you mentioned, most of the instruments were played and recorded by Tom Scholz in his basement studio. Brad Delp was brought in to do the vocals. Not just lead but all vocals were performed by Delp, including harmony. This song changed rock for ever when it came out. Enjoyed this guys...

I loved ya'lls reaction. I saw this band in , of all places, Amarillo, TX. They had a silkscreen of a giant pipe organ that would light up when their organ played. They sounded as good live, as they do on their recordings. It was a great time to be a teenager.

Boston was great!! One of the best bands back then and I still - to this day - love to hear their music. The 70's absolutely had the best music - it's timeless! So wonderful the next generation is starting to appreciate it too. PLEASE ALSO REVIEW: "Do You Feel Like We Do" from Peter Frampton's 1976 'Frampton Comes Alive' album. This *audio only* live concert recording off this album is the BEST version to listen to if being introduced to this song for the first time. It's 14 minutes long but just keeps getting better with solos as you listen. It has over FOURTEEN MILLION views so there must be many others that still appreciate it. DON'T be tempted by the shorter video version first! He has also just been inducted into this year's 2024 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Congratulations to him! He also seems like such a nice person.

this song has become special for Boston fans as well as many others world wide.. the lead singer Brad Delp committed suicide and one of the notes he left had some of the lyrics from this song in it “you’ll forget about me after i’ve been gone”.. he also left seal notes for his 2 kids, ex-wife and fiancee... sorry Brad but you will never be forgotten, RIP

The blending of the two songs are just phenomenal. The two songs are just iconic to the 70's and 80's. The music now, " just doesn't have the same soul" to barrow a line from another iconic song from Billy Joel. Rock On 🤟🤘👊✊. It is amazing how the younger generation are just know listening to Classic Rock Music, and learning to appreciate the music of this era. They really enjoying and experiencing the sounds and meanings behind each and every song. We need more young people listening to more Classic Rock Bands from the 70's and 80's. Brad Delp, the singer, supposedly committed suicide in 2007 and Sib Hashian, the drummer, passed away in 2017. RIP to two really good musicians but you will live forever in the music.

For what it's worth, it occurred in the middle of the album but I saw them in 1977 in junior high after this album dropped and oh my God was it a good show. A small to medium-sized Arena and it just sounded so good and everything about it was incredible. Something that cracks me up is that your friend there, just superficially and from a distance, just somehow reminds me at a glance of Sib Hashian, who was the drummer. Take a look at one of the album photos and squint your eyes a little bit and see what you think. 😅

I was 5 or 6 when this album came out and it was huge and my dad always listened to it and this was one of my favorites from this album, so I’ve known this song forever and when I was in my later teens and started partying these songs we played all the time. So I’ve known this song all my life and have heard it a million times but it’s cool what u guys do cuz I don’t no what I would think of it if I was your guys age? U guys do it right and give the songs the proper listen and reaction. Who would of thought back in the day that these songs would live on and I wonder if bands from that time watch reactions to their songs like u guys do and just sit there a smile 😅
