Do not think it can't happen to you. It happened to me for a month and I was traumatized for life. It's a deeply devastating experience. Nowhere to go, lost, confused...hopeless. I was not addicted but due to circumstances I became homeless and I thank God everyday I have food and a safe place to live now. It's very hard to believe this can happen in America.

Jake Mitch stop blaming the gov. for addiction. Also; legalizing drugs is not going to lower addicts, in fact is almost every case is slightly increases it. Addiction sucks but 90% of addicts relapse after going to rehab. I personally worked with a drug addict who got 1 year free rent thanks to her church, but she was a lousy employee who got fired, even with a job and no rent kept asking coworkers for money [little did we know it was for drugs]. Ended up homeless. I also personally know an addict who had gone to rehabilitation 4x but keeps relapsing, can't keep a job and is lazy. What i think the gov. can do is clamp down on doctors who prescribe gateway painkillers like they were candy. As for existing addicts, we can feed them but the only one who can help them is themselves.

I lost my daughters mother to drugs and addiction… I had to leave for the sake of my daughter and I but it definitely breaks my heart to see an addict go through such pain. I can only imagine the feeling of throwing your family away for a simple worthless drug…. It can’t feel good.

you can tell this young lady has a BEAUTIFUL soul. she has wonderful energy, honest, I really hope she can get through this. I have been on heroin for 7 years, and luckily never been homeless. I know if I continue, I will either be homeless and easily be a target to get sexually assaulted on the street, or I will die from overdose. Being homeless here in Arizona is not the most comfortable when our weather goes up to 119 degrees. Yes.

This is the first one of these videos to make me cry. She just wants to be with her family in a stable home and instead she has people walking past her looking at her like what is her problem? I don't understand drunks and drug addicts, but her pain and loneliness is real. Her family just doesn't care while everyone else thinks her life is a freak show. What is up with that girl walking behind her and waving at the camera? Was she trying to grab the spotlight from this woman? That whole Christmas thing is so evil. It is like if you don't have family, you don't have a soul or salvation. That is so wrong. Christ came for the broken hearted and abandoned of this world. I think her addictions are just an outward expression of the pain and emptiness she feels over people abandoning her. Maybe even the act of someone giving her money for the cigarettes and whatever makes her feel like she matters to someone. She needs to feel good about herself.

Original Pilgrim Come down and get her yourself then if you’re that concerned. Also Boston has a ton of social services and women’s shelters. I’ve lived here all my life and homeless/drug addicted folks actually come here from all over the country just to utilize those services. So unfortunately if someone is homeless here it’s generally because they choose to live on the street so they can continue to use drugs and/or alcohol & don’t have to adhere to a curfew or follow rules.

I luckully never went trough this, I work with disabled people so I think about health way more than those little things we have in our everyday life. Your videos just made me realise not only I am lucky to be healthy but I'm even more lucky to have a home. To have bed to sleep, my own bathroom and food. I never feel sorry for the food or money I give to the homeles because one meal or some money (even tho I'm poor) can do a lot for someone's day.

Nobody is perfect. We have all fallen short of the glory of God. Those of us who would have you believe they have it all figured out, while passing judgement and being toxic towards others are generally hiding something dark themselves and it makes them feel less guilty of their sin by judging the homeless or addicts or.. fill in the blank. We all need to encourage each other and if you find someone around you is constantly undermining or saying infectious things to try and put you down, they are no true friend, ditch them. They will regret the loss later.

Used to be someone could walk right into a Restaurant and be hired on the spot for cash money....we need to focus on anyone wanting work should be able to snag entry level position in a minute.Clean up crews. Window washing Sweeping jobs must be organized so that someone that needs to make money just does. All the bullshite regulations for labor work prevent access to these jobs. Before the in charges can figure this out, we can't get this fixed....Bus stops everywhere could be cleaned and checked constantly. Buses need cleaned The decision makers are so far removed from the minor details of life, THEY are incapable of seeing this. THEY are the problem and are paid millions to do a lousy job. Shame on them!

I really wish there was a way to be like an anonymous sponsor, to be able to send them, money, or clothes, supplies, non perishables to eat. I know what it’s like, and it’s by the Grace of God, Lord Jesus, that I was brought out of homelessness. Was able to get a job, located my Aunt, who helped me get back on my feet. I just ache to pay it forward. ALL of their stories crushes me heart.

Don't think this cannot happen to you I'm from Germany and l knew a woman who was my boss! in the Restaurant until her husband disapeared and left her alone with very high depts. She began to drink and take drugs, lost her home and job, ended up homeless in the streets here in Nürnberg. So sad. Nobody knows where she is now, we haven't seen her for a year or so 🤷‍♂️

Sadly enough to be a woman homeless. But surely scary to recognize with job and adequate housing. She was already robbing peter to pay paul. She was unable to make ends meet. Imagine the feeling of hopelessness. Depression is a highly misunderstood condition.
