Its good to see people wake up and actually learn about the homeless and their situation. Many aren't on drugs but were forced into the street to try to survive. If you lose your job u could easily lose your home next. Its scary what can happen. I live overseas have a bit of money coming in and feel lucky and blessed to be able to live my own life. When I was in Saigon I walked around and put money next to a few people sleeping on the street. My hometown is now full of homeless people its dishearting and the preachers stood there on the street corner refusing to help those in need. Fox news is absolute trash for the lies they tell about these people. Its sad we treat people this way. Thanks for invisible people really out talking to these folks and telling their true stories of hardship.

This lady mentally ill and should be in some sort of supervised housing.
@JulieSevelson-nb9nj8 ай бұрын
Good morning,and thank you. There's certainly different categories of homeless citizens. It's only the ones who are mentally ill, or active criminals who haven't stopped breaking laws, and addicts , depending on the person. For these three groups, you need residential facilities that are well run, and good, bona fide rehabilitation centers that keep people long enough to detox- with housing lined up for the future, and with the criminals, they go back to jail. The rest are quiet homeless people,who live in quiet desperation,while trying to escape homelessness. This is senior citizens, disabled people, vets, working class renters. Affordable housing will be a game changer. And one of the best ways to help homeless people ( who are harmless) is to go to your local City Council meetings, and speak out, about the need to create affordable housing, and to stop opposing these apartments,with those withholding of approval letters, which you need to build enough housing stock,we do have a permanent housing shortage in a anyway. And in addition to this, demand and account of any money coming from the State,the Feds, and cities, so that audits and transparency will be the policy from now on. Because,if they can, because they DO, politicians and corporations and agencies WILL steal that money!! This is why homeless has increased so much, the money never went to housing,it went to administration and overhead,the executives. More scandals about this has made the news lately. People need to pay attention. Filthy streets and sidewalks, homeless chairs will not stop,until the party is really over for these corrupt officials.

Beautiful young lady! I was homeless for 15 yrs in Columbus, Ohio! I saw churches who stoled donations when donated, took them home! I saw beds in shelters that were empty yet no- body was permitted to sleep there! They were being paid money to hold those beds for ex-criminals coming out of the prison system! Ex- criminals never lived there they would go home to a nice warm bed in a girl friends apt or boy friends apt.. They would only show up 1 a month at the shelter! Churches sold the homeless personal items when told they could keep their belonging there! The city leaders made the rent so high I was forced to move away! They are plowing down all the homeless camps anywhere located in a wooded area! They've closed all bathrooms in that city after 9 p.m or later! God forbid if you fell asleep in a 24 hr establishment like white castles rest; they would call the cops on you and the cop would slap you so hard up side your head as you peacefully layed on a table with your head down... I witness this many times in the South End of Cols,Ohio ! I saw it all and more! It broke my heart and now they have the judgment of God falling all over that city! God is watching ! I pray for this precious soul that her circumstances be turned around! She is a child of God and she is very valued in The Lord's eyes! We as a nation with all it's pride need to repent and return onto the God that made us! Judgment is upon your land! God is not pleased!

Enough to provide people with free apartments to give them safety. People left in streets are vulnerable. Could someone compare costs of sweeps and costs of providing basic lodgings? If you think this is heartbreaking, travel to Asia or Europe. You will see many young homeless children there. That breaks my heart because these kids never gave up on anything in life, they never even had a chance to give up. Every day they work to survive, and often they don't survive. I remember a young homeless girl standing in the street holding flowers for sale, as people walked by and ignored her, and I don't think I will ever forget that poor girl

We understand that places in other countries have heartbreaking stories. We know that there are children orphan. Please let us not minimize or make light of this woman’s experience by playing the someone else has it worst game.

Homeless should not be forced and clustered together. That is their first mistake. Every individual is a child of God. Prayers that someone will find it in their heart to help. Prayers for safety. Power is in prayer.

This is crazy. Imagine being homeless in the rich country/city... You are running into millionaires almost every day and no one gives you a good job. .... I'm not so far from being homeless myself, but I'm not from the US.

you should never tell homeless to get a job. getting a job won't give them housing immediately. without a home, where will they have a comfortable sleep so they can focus on the work the other day? where will they take a shower so they don't stink? People need to think

She is so articulate. I don't consider her mentally ill. In fact, she is mentally a superwoman. It is extremely sad that covid ruined her life in the worst way possible. Hope she can find the help she needs quickly.

I would open a house or facility and have harmless homeless people stay there. Free food , clothing, stay, and a bit of entertainment in exchange for little work.

Is there a specific GoFundMe for this wonderful lady? Everything that's happened to her and the state of her life is horrific. I feel like so many people are living pay check to pay check. The best idea, if possible, is to stick together with your family or friends and buy altogether away from the cities. The north American lifestyle where kids are Sent off to rack up their university debt and barely make ends meet because they have to pay rent etc etc. It's just an endless cycle
