This guy, Tommy, was doing karaoke with Boston songs. He sent out a cassette and Tom heard it thinking it was Brad. He immediately found him and asked if he wanted to join Boston. He's not Brad, but he's a great vocalist.

I'm sure Brad is smiling with acceptance and proud that finally they have someone to carry the music. Tom wrote the songs and I know they belong to him but as far as I am concerned Brad has the banner and voice of this band. He can never be replaced but it can be carried on with respect and this guy is one of the best I've heard so far. RIP Brad, they are doing you justice my friend. Been a fan of Boston since I first heard them when I was 9 yrs old. Boston was the first ROCK band that I can remember being exposed to and they still hold a high regard in my music collection today. They are timeless and every song brings back a memory.

Get mad at me if you want and I don't care. This lead singer is good if he is really singing. Brad has a very distinctive voice. If I didn't know that Brad had passed and heard this guy singing without seeing him, I would think it was Brad having a bit of an off day or maybe it was an older Brad singing. He sounds more like Brad does than the replacement singers for Peter Cetera in Chicago. Now, THAT'S a tribute band!!

Great to hear a singer doing those higher harmonies in strong chest voice during Rock and Roll Band! The only live Boston recording where one can see that. DeCarlo's had many better nights than this show, but even here he does better than many singers could do.

The guitarist David Victor is hitting the high harmonies here though, definitely have to credit him for that as well.

Is that the same "Gary Peal" that played with sammy hagar in the early 80s?? I have heard Sammy credit him in many interviews.

From what I have seen at 2:40 is not the other singer same pitch, I believe it is a guide vocal loop.

Remember guys this was like one of his very first times not being in the background this is his education he's cutting his teeth on stage he just started to take the look at this point he's not trying to be Brad he is a Super Fan like us he got this job because he loved them so much and was so distraught he had to do something he made a tape as a tribute and sent it as a respectful gift...he's the closest thing ever to Brad and we are so fucking lucky Van Halen is the only other time when a lead singer of a super band with replace and it was as good or better this doesn't happen this guy deserves everything he is one piece of DNA away from Brad He's the closest and we are fucking lucky be grateful and embrace him
