Great nitro brother chat. Felt the high revs in my adrenaline soaked blood on that talk. I'm still nitro, even started buying the tools like a gentleman, clutch shoes in/out- boom!!!, flywheel puller- boom!!! and flywheel spanner- Zaaaap!!! On my second cheapy engine, and I've learned a lot with your breaking in videos and just ripping it a new huff and puff like a steam engines line of power puffs out the left side screamin at the eagles, lettin them know there's a nitro around and I'm not lettin up till the tanks inside out and my fix is fixed. Been up in the high 30,000 rupums once or twice and can't wait to start on a system of having a run in quality engine ready to go when the buggy needs to be fed a new engine. Also brought a 2.0 buggy and parts like a front ramp plate diff for cheap and man the quality of these Losi's really got me by surprise, it just needs an engine. I better stop chatting. I always preheat my New engines to 200 degrees Fahrenheit then I completely let cool down to whatever your room or area temperature is! I do that a few times sometimes 4 to 5 times . I show and talk about this in many past videos . Even after my break in procedure I will sometimes still preheat my new engine with a cheap heat gun to 200 degrees before I start the engine up just because I can and it’s great to do especially if it’s a new engine but after that and once my engine is used and abused I won’t even warm up at all ever again unless it’s really cold 🥶 outside .

Ofna was only the USA distributor for Hobao and Hong Nor. Both companies are still alive, Hobao more so.

Also, it looks like the 086 pipe is still made, just not branded Ofna, Dynamite, ect. They're made in Taiwan, and sold on ebay. Just check it out. Search for "086" and filter category to "Radio Control & Control Line". Or I can send you a link, either way.

There tough cars, I've done a lot of upgrades on mine with spider diffs front & rear & a losi smart diff in the centre. I've tried to save weight where I can, it's still a bit heavy but it can shift & turn on a dime. I like the Hyper SS truggy, but not the ST. I would have to get rid of the shell & wheels as they give it a toy grade look. I'm looking forward to building my next one & then it's time for 1/5th scale. Have a good day my Nitro Brother.

It’s because of Horizon Hobbies not TLR so I will be forced to go get something else but it won’t be a Mugen because I hate the pivot ball system for bashing!! If I still raced ? I would use the Mugen or the Team Associated for sure but I will stick with the set up I think works for me best especially for jumping off roofs and spanking those E words at the parks near my house. Christian Roys dontbwaste your time and money on any t max! Rebuild it or clean it and hang it on a wall or shelf!! If you want to do Nitro ? You must do Nitro the right way . Get a Buggy or Truggy platform so you can run real engines with back plates on them! If you like MTs ? Then you can use MT wheels on a Truggy and it will become a MT !! Just more balanced and more durable! Let me know when you get one then I will tell you what combinations work best so you can compete with 6S electrics .

Slap in a bigger pinion or dremel the holes longer where your motor mounts to the chassis so you can slide your whole motor to the spur. That's what I would probably do.

You have to shim your diffs so the mesh is snug!!!

bassHopper what combination clutch bell and spur gear on center diff do you have? Sounds like your combination is off . Try the stock set up to see if it works? If your running a Modified 32 or a 28-8 ? Use a 15 tooth bell like me but if your running a stock ? You can use a 14 tooth bell? If your running RTR under power engines like the dynamite 28 ? You can use the 13 tooth so it will feel better with good grunt
