1) Meal Prep 2) Prep and clean 3) Sit in the front row to avoid distractions 4) Take notes that are not on the presentation 5) Try to do all your homework on 1 day (but not the last day) 6) Study in chunks 7) Get to class early 8) Do extra credits if possible 9) Use a planner 10) Go to study session although you feel you don't need it (you will) Personal mental note

This was incredibly informative and is the only video like this that makes grad school seem like a challenge I can conquer rather than an insurmountable pain in the butt. Thank you!

Thank you for this video!! I start grad school in the fall and have a TON of anxiety about it so this helps a lot, again THANK YOU!

You've got this! The best thing we can do as anxious people is to use the anxiety to our advantage. Afraid of missing an assignment due date? Do them early! Don't want to be late for class? Go early and then do some homework or studying while you wait for it to begin. :) Glad this video could help!

I had anxiety too! I didn't know if I could do it. Over time I realized that accountability is key! I had to rely on myself a lot, I found that the more I stayed organized, project planned, and effectively managed my time, the less stress I felt. The system I created for myself kept me accountable! 😄 I ended up graduating with my Master's in 1 year and with honors! You can do the same!! :)

smh. I swear that every video I make has a word that I repeat a million times. The word of the week this week is... Tremendously! Anyways, If you like this kind of video content give this video a thumbs up and comment on other video topics you'd like to see. If you like my more minimalist and zero/low-waste videos, do not fret, I will still be making those as well. :)

I always get to school a few hours early. Campus is almost 35 minutes away and I really enjoy just being able to relax before class starts.

Thank you for the helpful tips. Even though these are all common sense things and stuff that makes sense it is nice to hear them and I wished I would have implemented them in this first semester in grad school.

Another great tip is using apps that help with productivity. I discovered the elocance app while doing my MBA and used it to turn my case studies to audio so that I could listen while doing dishes, exercising etc.

What was said about getting work done early is also good advice for an online graduate program because there is no person that verbally gives you announcements about deadlines, you have to read all instructions carefully. So the best way to keep up is to get the work for one lesson done early and start some of the work for the next lesson such as the discussion post early.

What tips would you give on how to build a friendship with your professor?
@anamarie973 жыл бұрын
A lot of professors love a proactive student! My professors told me (after I graduated) that they paid attention to all the times I engaged during class, spoke during breakout times, took discussion posts seriously, and turned my assignments in early! One professor even told me that I made her work as a professor worthwhile, she didn't feel like teaching after everything went virtual. But me having a high standard for myself reminded her that there are students who still care. That was really nice to hear 😭🙂
