biggest problem a lot of people have is they dont EDUCATE themselves on well....HAIR. They play the clueless card when somethign happens or blame the surgeon (which isnt always fair to do). I spent over 3 years on and off, learning about FUE and FUT, before having gotten my first FUE procedure. I knew 100% what I needed to do before, after, during, and for the rest of my life. I hate seeing some of these terrible results due to their ignorance but before you trust a surgeon, you gotta respect the procedure thats going to be done and understand everything about it. Its life changing and permanent.

Topical melatonin for hair loss: You haven't put it in your product, so one assumes you're not impressed with research on it. Topical spironolactone for hair loss. People with aggressive hair loss seem to have a low opinion of it, others seem to have a more favourable view. Exercise as a factor in skin youthfulness. Some recent research has been quite positive about resistance training. Oral hyaluronic acid for skin hydration giving a modest reduction in wrinkle depth. ..though probably makes facial scars appear worse, cheers

I'm currently using hydrocortisone steroid cream for 3 days, its taking forever. The clinic that I spoke to said it is not foliculitis but it looks like it. I'm going to see a doctor in the UK where I'm from to take a look at it. I think I've had a failed hair transplant and I'm really depressed.

Crazy question Dr. Linkof but can you explain why pubic hair grows so much faster and thicker than hair on your head or anywhere else on the body?
@sianmilne48798 ай бұрын
Pubic and armpit hair have thicker cuticles to protect them from the damp (and ammonia rich in the case of pubes 😅) environments they are found in. I'm not sure if they actually grow faster but the growth phase is also shorter which explains the shorter maximum hair length, while the retention phase is longer

Hey Doc I don’t understand how transplanted hair is normally able to flourish when it’s being placed in the same area which just previously underwent balding ?its not like DHT gives translated hair a pass
@Drunken_Sens28 күн бұрын
The reason transplanted hair doesnt fall out is because the hair on the sides and back is DHT resistant at the follicular level. If you were to move a hair from the hairline to the back of the scalp it would eventually fall out as it is sensitive at the follicular level.

@blackiesun7 ай бұрын
He did say you can surgically remove the scarred area but not always as it depends if there is enough skin to remove the scarred area etc. Also you will get another scar where the suture is done but probably very minimal compared to the original one. You can do a FUE transplant too. I think the tattoo option is a good compromise and I've seen some good results with that.
@DennisLarkin7 ай бұрын
@@blackiesun Interesting. So are you saying they tattoo over the scar to make it less visible? The big problem with that, or any hair transplant really, is that you can't really shave your head very close, or even go totally bald because the scars look horrendous. Not sure a tattoo where the scar was would look any better than the scar itself...
