That doubble checkmate though! The look on that king's face after running from the knight who manged to sneak through the back ranks of his territory in the middle of all of his pieces, only to be chased by the other knight who turns and corners him to the rook staring down the lonely defeated king. That is more beautiful than a doubble rainbow.

10:30 it would have been funny if your opponent gave the queen back and just grabbed the rook on f1 instead, then after 27: nxc7 Kd7 the knight is trapped and youre completely lost. Its good advice that when your opponent throws away so much material for an attack If you can neutralize the attack and be material up its usually a good idea in blitz.

Small TrashMan because he doesnt have the norms. IMs are pretty damn good players, GMs are the highest of the elite. There are people who can never reach GM level in their whole lives & chess careers. Eric does have a pretty good understanding of everything, but calling him GM level would require actual results from him. He’s still young, and I’m expecting him to become GMRosen at some point though.

Woah! I've been asking for this 2.b3 against the french for a while, Rosen is a legend! BTW, somebody calls it the Reti, somebody calls it the Horovitz attack and somebody calls Bb2 the Papa-Ticulat gambit. Those who understand say it's sound, but nobody plays it. Very few resources around about this opening.

This Gambit does of course have a name, it's called the Papa-Ticulat Gambit. Usually people go for 5. Qe2 right away, instead of 5. g4, since Qe2 will almost always be played in order to castle queenside. I love playing this gambit in blitz games, because you knock the theoretical french player out of his opening book. I recommend playing this (coming from a 2200 lichess blitz player)! Great game Eric! Keep it up.
