Agreed.. the first one should have been a stroke against Hamamy and the 2nd ... how was Feichter supposed to get to the ball?? Dive around Hamamy to the right or dive around her to the left?? Clearly, she could have gotten to the ball....

I saw a stroke against Hammamy given as a let, then 2 lets were no lets. Come on guys, do they really think we are blind? This just kills Squash. Junk referee

Fiechter took the consistently dubious calls (against her) quite well…but it’s tough to not let that wiggle in to influence your best squash. It probably felt a little three against one-the opponent, the referee, and the crowd. Tactically, you start to second guess and it pushes you to play a long game to prevent your opponent from blocking you. Hopefully everything which comes Olivia’s way, good / bad, fair / unfair simply makes her all the more resilient. Two Americans in the top 10 is pretty amazing. Of course I’d like to see both Fiechter’s and Sobhy’s world number one potential realized.

Why is the refereeing so disgraceful in Egypt, an absolute shocker at 11.35, both the marker and video ref should be sacked as this is basic stuff, it was a Let at least bordering on a Stroke to Fiechter. This sort of incompetence mars a game unfortunately, leaves a sour taste in your mouth. A good match otherwise.

Both decisions are correct imo, first one the ball stay very short, second one there's a line to the ball where hammamy has cleared

They really weren’t correct. The first let she got hamammy was in her swing so strike would have been the correct call and the second was a simple let. Easily retrievable
