Not surprised they decided to do this. Both Howard and Jesse have always insisted theres no ill feelings or even sense of competition between them. They have respect for each other. Yes theres two camps of Killswitch fans, but i would say theres actually THREE, the third camp being those of us who love the band regardless of frontman. And having BOTH in one song is just proof that Metal music is one big family. Its all about the music, not competition or comparisons

So it’s hard to put into words what this moment meant for the band, the fans of the band and the genre itself. For so long the fans were split, a Team Howard and a Team Jesse. And seeing them together really brought the fans together.

This fist song I heard from KSE was "My Last Serenade" back around '02 when Jesse was the lead singer. Loved the band, awesome album. Jesse left and Howard came into the fold. Not many bands can replace a singer and survive. Howard was a perfect "replacement", a fantastic addition to the band, and I was more than happy to continue listening to KSE for the next near decade. When Jesse came back I was ecstatic! And that was 10 years ago. When they do songs together, it's just awesome. Great band, great singers both of them. Im happy to say that I have been listening to KSE for over 20 yrs. \m/

The way you describe it is exactly how it was for me too. Last Serenade being my intro to the band, LOVED them with Jesse, but also later when Howard took over, always been an equal fan of both versions

When I first started learning to play drums, I quickly realized that playing without shoes gave me a better feeling for the pedals under my feet, and I always played without shoes after then 🤷‍♂️😂

Should react to Rose Of Sharyn its about Howard's mothers passing. Always, a tribute to the fallen and hate by design are my fav Killswitch songs. Can't choose between both of them they fit perfectly with the bands sound.

The bald singer is Howard. Jesse is the singer with the Nowak. Jesse is the original singer then he left and came back 10 years later.

Jesse was the original singer. He had to step away from the band for mental health issues & Howard took over. Howard was singer for most of their albums. Then Jesse decided to come back & Howard went to sing for Light The Torch. Both bands toured together & they would perform this live during Killswitch's set

Howard left the band due to the stressful touring schedule. He was suffering depression, anxiety, and he was losing control of his type 2 diabetes (3 day diabetic coma). Light the torch came later after he got his health back on track.

Jesse is the white guy. Jesse was the original vocalist, then Howard, then a few years ago Jesse came back as the vocalist, with Howard guesting on this song.

I'm allowed to say Howard is the Black guy! Jesse is the original guy, and like @jwyeckle said Jesse stepped down due to mental health reasons, Howard came in right after and lead the band for at least 5 albums I think, then Howard started having issues with diabetes and stepped down from the busy band to focus on his health and to then be replaced by Jesse. Howard then joins Light The Torch, and a couple albums into Jesse's return, the vocalists do this wonderful Collab!

I like your reviews Jesse is the original. Howard took over for years. Jesse came back to fulfill his duties because of Howard having a health event. I would definitely do my homework before making a video. Howard was on my curse not Jesse, guitar hero…….
