The Floats! Event has been around for a long time and then vanished for about 6 and a half years... It will be running for a while and we thought it would be fun to visit this event from yesterday. Let us know what you think and if you would like to see us do more events like this in game!

PSA for everyone playing this event, the ships on caps will become friendly and engage enemies once you cap it, charging in and sinking all the ships on your closest cap at the start of the match is just crippling your teams defenses

Sturm: the walrus mk1 is the scout plane for the HMS York and HMS Southampton. It is somewhat in game.

G'day Bo, Hmm Sturmling might need to take up playing NF as the British get the Supermarine Walrus on a few light cruisers (I wish you could unlock those aircraft for TT's via unlocking the ships mod). Favourite flyingboat float plane is the Martin P6M SeaMaster a flyingboat jet bomber.

*Begin Transmission* Day 248. I swear, whenever I see this stuff about floats, it makes me think of that one duel in WWII between that one version of the B-24 Liberator and the Kawanishi H8K “Emily”. The H8K didn’t do so well in that one. More importantly, here’s a question. What kind of big plane would pair nicely with the T26E4 Super Pershing? I feel like I lean towards either the B-29 Superfortress or the B-25J Mitchell with the 75mm. *End Transmission*

This event finally is back, sadly they half ruined it, that u can't use any float the game has. And i had high hopes that i can finally use my Be-6 for something other than a cool hangar decoration. And I wonder if they just forgot to remove the N1K1 form the list (unlike the float Zero) as its the only float fighter u can use.

The entire thing with the battle pass I don't really care about because those vehicles should (probably) be "meh" to "okay" at best since it is the battle pass and not everyone can get every vehicle from it (because you have to unlock the coupons much later on), but from what I've seen most if not all of the recent negative reviews are from botters complaining about the base rocketing nerf which are complaints that should 100% be ignored because botting shouldn't even be a thing to begin with.

War Thunder suddenly has a lot of negative reviews because Gaijin has messed up bad multiple times recently. So they released an old fun event, and somehow managed to mess that up too. Then we get news that a long-awaited roadmap change is coming, but is wildly underwhelming and kinda an insult to the playerbase. This sums up War Thunder for me at this point.

To be totally honest, I thought those were all enemies and I was turning to engage the plane in the back right of the screen. When I saw the PBY emerge I tried to pull up but there was nothing to be had. It was 100 percent my fault but I can promise you it was lack of skill and was not being done deliberate. I would never do that to a random friendly player.

If you watch closely you can piece together what happened. When ally and enemy names overlap the ally name fades away to better show the enemy's name and distance and you can watch that happen at 11:51 The past minute or so of footage he'd been using the AI gunner where he points the nose at the target and lets it go ham. So he sees the kingfisher, switches to gunner for a second to look behind, switches back to piloting, aims his nose at the kingfisher thats .3 miles away again and then processes and it clicks that there are two planes there, the ally name also doesn't pop up until the last second with only a tiny blue dot above it. He swung to what he thought was a enemy and a second one emerged from it.
