Botswana is wild.
Almost the entire country is protected and wildlife roam free as nature intended. I spent most of my time in Chobe National park, right on the border of Namibia and Zambia a few kilometers from the famed Victoria falls. The river valley is home to over a quarter million wild elephants. I saw a couple thousand of them on my 4 day safari. We took a boat along the river and got a front row view to these majestic animals splashing and swimming along the river. I felt like I was front row on a nature documentary the entire time. They are such playful animals. It was an incredible couple days and here is how it happened.
