Great video and editing. Would’ve still been great without pressuring the wildlife with the drone and the vehicle. Hope you’re not offended by constructive criticism. Otherwise really enjoyed your content and look forward to watching more from future trips. Thank you for sharing.

Your video was beautifully shot, but in at least three different shots you were too close to (and pressured) game. You approached a heard of elephants where one of the members (I believe a female) sounded the alarm: one solo elephant that backed away from you with ears out in warning; and there were several lions that were 'pushed' by the presence of your truck. While it doesn't seem like a big deal, elephants can and do charge vehicles in similar situations - often with catastrophic consequences.

You don’t appear to have done many Game Drives yourself - too vivid an imagination.

Hats off to this beautiful video, you two romantics! It’s like you paid the animals to make appearances on cue. Good editing too

Hello Charl.Thanks a lot for the compliment. We really put a lot of effort and time during filmmaking. Every day we spend 2 hours filming accumulated over the day.Sometimes stressful. But at the end we just love the result.Greetings

Whilst I enjoyed the footage I must express the same concern as an earlier comment! Drone usage is prohibited in most national parks in Southern Africa and whilst I don’t totally agree with the outright ban, I can understand for the sake of the wildlife there has to be some control and the people using drones need to be competent in both drone usage and the affect it can have on the animals they are viewing and I am not confident that that is the case on this video! KZbin also need to take a responsibility in not promoting videos that are taken illegally an can perhaps play a major role in encouraging some form of training and accreditation for people who want to do this. Excellent. Done similar but afraid we cheated and added load of luxuries. Am keen to do a tougher self-drive camping etc (no Lodges), so keen to learn - Vehicle hired or Bought. Have you crossed Borders with it ? Thnx.
@320highflyer6 жыл бұрын
Good morning from Munich. Thanks for your comment. We also started with lodges only 7 years ago and on the next journeys started a combination of camping and lodging. Initially mainly in Namibia. Border crossing (e.g. Botswana) is easy with rental jeep (Savanna Car Hire). Just inform them open booking which borders you plan to cross. The border crossing is just time consuming sometimes. To buy your own car needs a good plan ahead. It will always cheeper and hastle free to rent, unless you plan a several month long trip.

Beautifully shot. No problem with the drone? I am taking a similar route in September and want to take my MAVIC.
@320highflyer6 жыл бұрын
Hello Willem, no Problem with the drone. Just use common sense and stay away from other people and especially Park Rangers. Problems might arise when you should try to take it trough Namibia customs at the Airport without a Permit.
@wimdamen20016 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your reply; can you get a permit in advance ?

Don't, drones are banned in the parks for a reason: they bother wildlife. Don't be a smug prick like the goof that posted this video.
@rutgerstubbe28405 жыл бұрын
Drones are strictly forbidden in the park. These laws are in place for a reason. Of course there is a good chance you won't be caught, but don't be an asshole and keep your impact minimal.
