Absolutely loving this video series. Brings back so many memories, did a very similar trip in 2016, and so nice to see all those places looking either the same, or even better than when we were there. I've been to Botswana 4 times now, going back for the 5th time in June-July 2019, going to do the Kgalagadi again , but entering at Mabuasehube this time.

Yes, I left Bots some 20 odd years ago, and very very little has changed - magic. Glad to hear you are enjoying the series. Episode 3 is in production so keep an eye out as we wrap up our trip. Kgalagadi is on my list, an extensive list at that. Keep well, and enjoy your adventures. Be safe and all the best 🤟

@@4x4ventures_southafrica Definitely add the Kgalagadi and the Central Kalahari to your list if you haven't already! It's a complete different beast compared to the Moremi, but oh my sooo worth it! I'm looking forward to part 3!

Yes, I used to live in Francistown so I can appreciate where you are coming from. Being in Maun makes trips like this so accessible. Enjoy, and look forward to seeing you out there. Keep well and stay tuned 🤙

@@4x4ventures_southafrica we've been in the US for five years. Wife got malaria and dengue fever. Pretty bad. It's taken her about the five years to recover and pay off the medical bills. She's just about well enough for us to go back. Planning on this Sept.

Those camp sites look fantastic, the fact that you're so cut off from the "normal" ones make them really appealing. Looking forward to the next one boet!

Thank you. Yes, camping in the wild is what it really means to be self-sufficient, and it is the true meaning as to why we build up our vehicles - to go into the wild like the "ol - guys" explore and over come the wild. For me though, a camp fire in the true wilderness is absolutely price less. Next one in production

Thank you Chris. Much appreciated. So I use the new Sony a6400 with some really good lenses. Ideal camera for this sort of thing, and would recommend it without a doubt. Good glass, and post finishing is where it all counts. Next episode is in production and should be done this weekend. Maybe mid week next week. 🤙

Hi sir ,very nice videos , thank you for that Some question ,if you could answer 1. What is the size of the tire ? Is it 265, 65r17? 2. Is this a 2019 wildtrak? 3. Do you have Oldman emu suspension? How is the ride quality? I recently upgraded to OMU nitro ,the ride quality is very very hard on the road ,not enjoying at all . Pls advice
@4x4ventures_southafrica4 жыл бұрын
Hi, amd thank you. Tyre size is 285/75/r16 No, 2.2 XL 4x4 Yes, Old Man Emu 2 inch full suspension upgrade front and back. It is designed for heavier loaded overland vehicles. My ranger is heavy and drives soft and comfortable. Ask the fitment shop to reduce the number of rear leaf springs, and maybe a lower rating on the front coils. However, when you load the vehicle you need the stiffer suspension. It comes into its own off road and loaded. OME is very very good, i just battle with squeaky back suspension in the leaf springs
