Definitely getting there for the show! I hate fungus and disease really upsets me when there is bugs on my trees, hope it flourishes buddy!

That is one enormous trunk on a fantastic looking tree in a cool pot. With all that lifting of these big trees, you will be another Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Beautiful tree Sam. I have quite a few bottlebrush and if you haven't tried this, I have a couple that have trunks and branches (up to about two fingers thick) that were really straight and boring. So I tried the branch splitter. I split one trunk nearly from the bottom up about a foot or so long, then wrapped it in electrical tape and applied quite thick wire and bent it to my satisfaction. The tree never missed a beat, so it's a good technique. I've also done the same on branches with the same result. Just thought I'd pass it on, as they can grow really straight and they get really brittle really quickly. Cheers.

I’m thoroughly confused about what season you are in. Is it autumn? What month does this bottlebrush bloom? It’s a beaut of a tree. I’d never give it away except in my will! You’ve had it so long, gave it so much tender loving care and as long as you have it you can go on into serene old age looking at the masterpiece you have created! Cheers.

As the old joke between the two bonsai trees: Dude, there is a fungus among us. You should have the fungus all controlled with what you are doing now to the tree. Fingers crossed the fungus is gone.

Remember not to put systemic on your fruit trees and fruit bonsai. You would be eating it then.
