benjamin keogh If you'd like an easy way, just look up an online tellraw generator. You can use them really easily, and it saves you a lot of time (because you don't have to take the time to write out the whole command yourself).

This is the coolest thing I've ever seen. The way you did this especially with the charged creepers making it look like lightning inside.

Just to clear things up with my last comment, the ShowParticles tag doesn't hide the lightning surrounding the creeper. It ONLY hides the particles of the potion, which are still visible with ambient. Type this command in, then look at the creeper: /summon Creeper ~ ~ ~ {powered:1,ActiveEffects:[{Id:14,Duration:99999,Ambient:1}],Attributes:[{Name:generic.followRange,Base:0}]} You'll notice that you can still slightly see the potion particles. Now, try this command: /summon Creeper ~ ~ ~ {powered:1,ActiveEffects:[{Id:14,Duration:99999,Ambient:1,ShowParticles:0b}],Attributes:[{Name:generic.followRange,Base:0}]} You'll now notice that you can't see any particles, yet the lightning remains.

This is super sweet! You could have the power going to some sort of diamond or redstone generator, so that when you have enough energy, a diamond is created! This concepts has so many possibilities! Very good. Though when I used your commands I have to changed a bit here (Excluding Coordinates) and there for them to work. Also, the Silverfish does not seem to move around as expected, no creepers spawn as well, this is accompanied with a never-ending sound of thunder, even though I never see any!

I would say that running a testforblocks on the silverfish would be a good idea, except for the exploding capacitor cells when it hits an incomplete one. GG

Now that I've watched some of it, awesome video! Haha. Capturing the lightning for a power source is genius! Oh, and Dragnoz, you should combine Ambient and ShowParticles so the creeper won't be visible at all. For instance: {ActiveEffects:[{Id:14,Duration:9999999,Ambient:1,ShowParticles:0b}]} it'll make any mob 100% invisible. :)

The charged creeper effect would remain, but there would be absolutely zero chance of the player seeing the creeper itself (not the lightning surrounding it). As is, if you look really hard, you can see the particles. :P xD

Ambient 1 will make the particles look nearly invisible, but they're still there if you look closely. ShowParticles removes all the potion effect particles. Basically, it's just to make sure there is no possibility of the player seeing the particles around the mob (which are still present if only Ambient 1 is used). Unfortunately, there is no way to remove the smoke that occurs when an entity dies. :(

Redstone is using repeaters, comparators, wires etc. without the use of command blocks. I guess you could call what Dragnoz is doing more of like coding with command blocks. With all new data tags and new commands Minecraft almost has its own code to it now.

I was thinking of a way to integrate a source of power to the maps that we make, like this, but I hadn't thought of this! I also love how indepth it is, so how you have to make the capacitor correctly, and it can overload, I might use this (with my own little touch) in a future map if you don't mind :D

Then you can have an invisible silverfish using path finding onto the nether brick fence until it reaches the power directory then have it testfor silverfish on the directory block and for charged creeper then have it drain the electricity but then have it place a redstone block for the power source but then when scoreboard power runs out it will change to air.

I have a little idea for a map, I dont know if you gonna see that but nvm. What about a laser parkour? Put an invisible guardian on an invisible minecart, that can't detect the player, do the same with a squid on the another side, and make them moving horizontal, vertical and co. What do you say?

11:59 That kinda bothered me: you’re testing for iron bars at y=~-1 (relative to the silverfish), an iron block at y=~-2 and summoning a creeper at y=~-3. The thing is, both the creeper and the space inside the capacitor are two blocks high, so the creeper is summoned with its head in the iron block and the testforblocks fails. Why don’t you simply summon the creeper at y=~-4, directly where it’s supposed to be?

Dude you can make a bomb using that by putting an iron bar on an iron block in the field and waiting. During the storm it will not be recognized as a battery and will explode.

Yea, first of all, make a fast redstone clock. Then setup a deathCount scoreboard objective called Deaths. The last thing you need to do is have a execute command like this: /execute @a[score_Deaths_min=1,score_Death=1]~ ~ ~ summon LightningBolt

Actually, Danio, neither of their answers would successfully work. If you did it when their Health score was zero, it would continuously strike their death point until they respawned. You would have to have two commands in this order: 1. /execute @a[score_Death_min=1]~~ ~ summon LightningBolt ~ ~ ~ 2. /scoreboard players reset @a[score_Death_min=1] Death Hope this helps! :)

Dear Dranoz, I don't know if you read your comments, and if you do there is no way of knowing if you will read this one, but if you do please read it all the way through it isn't what it sounds like at first. I recently posted my first ever KZbin video in which I showed off my concept for a RPG stat system in minecraft, and I was wondering if you would be willing to watch it and tell me what you think, if you have a way of improving it. the video itself is not vary good, I did a horrible job of explaining the designed and I set the videos sound way to low, but I think the concept is good and I would be honored to get your opinion. don't get me wrong if you don't wont to watch it its fine, the thing is if it wasn't for you I wouldn't have known enough about command blocks to make it and I wouldn't have been inspired to post the video despite how bad it was and I wont to than you for that. weather you watch it or not I can only hope that one day someone will look up to me the way I do to you. thank you for taking the time to read this

If you would like to make the books easily, then you should just use an online tellraw generator. They're extremely easy to use, and it can save you a lot of time. :)
