Great analysis. BRICS is the key for the Global South to finally shake off Western hegemony and exploitation. Don't fall for the Western colonial "Divide and Rule" strategy. Stay strong and clear eyed and we will get there together.

How is India a lap dog of the West? By buying Russian oil, its leader wearing a standoffish skirt, plotting assassination rooted from ethnicity? The West is discovering that this "democracy" is not a lap dog.

This is exactly my thoughts on today's geopolitical shift and scenario. As an Indian, I'm pleasantly surprised and happy to hear another countrymen speaking my thoughts out in public platform like this. You see, India is too big and potentially too smart to be a subordinate of the western alliance that sees India only as a tool to achieve their end goal (i.e. western Domination/Hegemony led by US). India is too important to be serving the western led interest.. instead of serving the world, particularly the global south (the majority world). We should be sitting in the same table with other big powers like Russia and China to discuss what is best for the greater world, and not serving like a waiter to the western interest who will never see/treat India as equals no matter how low we bend for them. 'White Supremacist' and looking down upon Indians and other race are a not thing of the past, they are still very much prevalent even today, it will be the same even tomorrow. So, dear fellow Indians and GOI, It's time to decide and stand up like a real man. Lead the world from the front with whatever capacity we have.. instead of holding Lion's (US) tail and thinking we are the lion. As long as we are in the western camp, we are nothing more than a proxy to them even if they may say otherwise outwardly. History doesn't lie, the west will never see us as equals because that's an insult to them, to their supremacist feeling. Wake up! Border issue can be resolved with dedicated effort and time, and without preconceived notions for each other. Beware! the west will make sure the border conflicts between India-China remains because it serves their interest.

After more than 200 years of colonization by the west, 45 trillion worth of priceless items stolen by the colonial master, oppressed by the master for 200 years, millions were genocide by the colonial master. That's not what he meant. The west is born in a chaotic and turbulant environment where there are many small nation of roughly equal powers. They each try to subvert each other whenever they can. Their thinking runs along the line of measuring each other's power all the time and always trying to analyze the balance of power in the environment. Their successor, the US still thinks the same way but on a global stage instead of just europe. It is always sizing up other nation and always seek to exploit others whenever they can. The world is bigger, endless opportunities for subversion and exploitation. This is why the US never stops waging war since its founding. They only understand power dynamic and seeks to exploit it, thus always measuring the balance of power. When there is no enemy, it will seek one until total dominance. The east especially China thinks in a different way because it grew up in a different environment where it is always the hegemon surrounded by small countries. China understands when it is doing well it always becomes the center of trade and culture and that no one crazy enough to invade it. External threat only comes when the country is weak and divided. This is why China until the present time still thinks similarly. It will relentlessly try to realize its potential through commerce, trade and use its military just to secure its border. It never really worries about external invasion and it seeks harmony, balance and stability first and foremost. Once it achieve that, then it naturally leads the world as it always been for thousands of years.

Modi will be wiser for India development if he can accept the partner of equal with their northern neighbour. Instead he stirs the nationalism which is highly pleased his UK/US masters. After several years if he still reside to PM office, like African he shall realize that nothing happens on technology and commercial development with the west given their domestic racism. But that is too long time for indian and you will be ever suspected by the global south of your true motives. Putin once said the democratization of the global south as they are all equal to choose by majority and no veto preserved for large nations only consultancy exists.

It was a huge strategic mistake that India joined the QUAD, which clearly targets at China. Whatever problems exist between India and China should be and can be worked out between the two countries. China doesn’t view India as its enemy. But India is so obsessed with China and determined to make China its #1 “challenge” or enemy.

Previous govt (UPA) made an agreement with CCP, after that the border was peaceful but Indian market was flooded with Chinese toys, spoons, etc. Indian small industries started vanishing. Modi changed all those, now India is exporting those with some tension on the border. So who is goo for India UPA or NDA. I agree some BJP makes anti-Muslim statements, polarizing society. But Modi's policy is not discriminating. Muslim middle class is expanding faster than Hindu, particularly in Gujarat.
