Why would the cops even NEED someone to eat the pie to prove it's poisoned? I mean, if this were NCIS or Bones, Angela and Hoggins/ Abbey and the old Coroner(forgot his name) would be able to find what was in the pie within hours!

Normally I'm bothered when people bring up crime shows (due to the attitude some people have after watching them), but you bring up an extremely good point. In real life they'd analyze the contents of a suspicious pie and not try to coerce a suspect to be a Guinea pig. Now I wish there had been an episode with Abbey, Ducky, and Dr. Palmer testing a pie.

Super Cosmic Mutant Honey Candle Squid I just realized something- how was the turtle able to pee on or in the pie? You'd think a doctor would be smart enough to keep a pie away from a living creature, especially one known to carry germs (I like turtles and lizards, but they can carry germs. People with certain health conditions are advised not to own or handle them, and those who do handle them are supposed to wash their hands well before eating).

I actually have seen this episode twice and I hate myself for having done so. It was one of the worst Dan Schneider episodes in the history of Nickelodeon. I agree with you that there is no real point to the episode and honestly I don't understand how it furthers the plot of the show. I already feel (and they are only in season 1 still I think) that the show is going the way of iCarly in that the show was originally about two girls who create a gaming empire with the help of a famous rapper and his son. To continue to further the plot of the show, the episodes need to be focused on the gaming empire and the specific games it creates. There are already a bunch of episode that have NOTHING to do with the point of the show. iCarly in its later years was more about the misadventures of 3 friends (plus Gibby later on) in high school rather than 3 friends who become internet celebrities through a hugely successful web show. I remember when iCarly was first announced, Nickelodeon promoted the show as the first ever scripted show on television where the viewers have the ability to add content by submitting their own videos and having them shown during the web show scenes. That model lasted right up until the iCarly awards episode and then everything went to hell. I feel like Game Shakers will eventually be just like iCarly in that it will over time be more about the adventures or misadventures of a group of friends rather than a group of kids who create a gaming empire. The only Dan Schneider show to really stick to its format for basically its entire run is Victorious. There were original songs in more than half of the episodes. Also they really stuck with the idea that these teens wanted to be famous one day and showed many instances of how they were on track to achieve their dreams. Really Robbie and Cat were the only two whose dreams weren't really followed through enough. I have no idea why Robbie was at that school other than that he was a good ventriloquist (although he never admitted to that and Rex never liked to be thought of as Robbie's puppet) and Cat clearly wanted to be a singer and sometimes actress and because the show focused on Tori's singing and acting dreams the writers sort of let her become the idiot of the group instead of the pop star that she eventually becomes in real life. Everyone else's dreams if they weren't realized, were at least on the right track and it was easy for people to imagine what would happen to everyone in the future. That show was the last good Dan Schneider show IMO. From Sam & Cat on I was and still am ashamed that I ever was a fan of this man's work. I'm guessing the reasons why Nickelodeon still lets him create and write shows for them is because the pay is good and they give him full creative control to do whatever he wants. He even got the first and so far only lifetime achievement award at the KCA's a year or so ago. I really don't see Dan leaving the network so fast so viewers will be subjected to his crappy shows for the foreseeable future.

One episode I'd absolutely LOVE to see you tear apart is "Thunder and Danger". There are so many problems with it: It's more of a Henry Danger episode than a Thundermans episode (which is sad because Thundermans is actually a guilty pleasure of mine; the only good modern Nick show there is I can find), none of the Thundermans (other than Phoebe and Max) and not even Max's bunny Dr. Colosso show up, which is really sad cause Colosso would have been an excellent addition to the story. The plot with all the Henry Danger villains coming together could have literally happened in a regular 1/2-hour episode. They didn't need the Thundermans help. The whole Jasper/Piper subplot wasted up time in which we could have seen the other Thundermans and Colosso. And I know this is gonna make me sound like a jealous fanboy because I kinda have a crush on Kira Kosarin (aka Phoebe) but Henry hitting on her (i.e. taking pictures of her ass, flirting with her constantly) immediately after his last girlfriend broke up with him makes him such a pervert. And he was so ridiculously-stupid in that scene when they were searching for Captain Man (you may have to watch the episode if you haven't already to know what I'm talking about).

Another thing about this episode that really bugged me was the fact that this Babe girl didn't even explain her reason for hating peaches. At one point, the other girl, Kenzie, asked why and all Babe said was "I don't wanna talk about it" or something. And then later on when she's eating the pie, she says "Why did I think I didn't like peaches?" Oh, I don't know, maybe because you didn't explain it AT ALL throughout the whole damn episode!!! Anyway, great review, PieGuy. Hope to see more from Bottom of the Bakery. :)

I doubt that the writers thought of these things but really they should of. (I mean I know their main audience is kids but that's not an excuse for poor writing. That's like saying just because your audience is toddlers your preschool show should be mindless and dumb. I believe both cases are not an excuse for laziness.) Though yeah i'm guessing as time goes on Dan Schneider's shows get worse and worse by the minute. It's understandable as most creators when they're stuck doing the same shtick over and over their shows overtime drop in quality. I think honestly Dan Schneider at this point either A. Needs to leave Nickelodeon Studios to keep his show's from dropping in quality more or B. Take a break from making sitcoms and make something different.(I know both aren't gonna happen but it be better than making the same kind of show over and over again.) I will say PIEGUY have you watched Loud House yet? I hear it's a good show by it's fans and I wonder could you review the show sometime?

Starting with Sam & Cat, I guess he figured so long as his name was on a show, it would be accepted as good; no effort needed. 2. Schneider was in fact let go by Nickelodeon. Either they were tired of his mediocre garbage or frightened of a scandal by his history of creepy antics. (I'm guessing both).

DISCLAIMER: I haven't seen the episode. Regardless, I think the cops' logic makes a little sense. They believe that either the pie was poisoned by the girls, or it wasn't poisoned at all, and the girls could either eat the pie to prove it's not poisoned, or admit to having poisoned the pie and not eaten it.

This episode also didn't have an ending. The ear doctor doesn't apologize about accusing the girls, the police never find out the cause of what got the ear doctor poisoned... it was like when they were filming the episode they were like, "We have 24 minutes of footage, time to stop." and there were probably a few pages lol wdt of the script that wasn't filmed.
