Oh he was! He just was! I can’t think of anyone else in comedy who has made me laugh so much in such a small amount of time/episodes/series. The amount of comedy they packed into 27-29 minutes is remarkable. And Rik is invincible! He and Ade took comedy acting and turned it into a sport. Putting every ounce of effort, guile and energy into their performances, working every muscle, not wasting a single breath. It’s just incredible to watch. I love them both. They deserve so much more recognition. ❤️💯

You summed it up brilliantly imo, you can't remember the last time you watched something and fell in love with a character but also the actor because I certainly can't or if I ever did. I have watched loads of programmes and like them and laughed but nothing like this. When the series has finished you have the bonuses of the live stage performances they took on tour, its like the series but 10 times funnier.

I'm so glad you said they're national treasures. Absolutely right. I don't understand why Ade hasn't received recognition for his services to comedy. They were the Laurel and Hardy of our times. No one did slapstick better than they did. They had the audience laughing till it hurt, literally clutching at their aching sides throwing themselves forward in uncontrolled hysterics. Ade is a living legend. Where is his knighthood? Come on bonnie King Charlie give credit where credit is due.

In regard to Rik’s work on his own, i dunno if anyone has mentioned “Kevin Turvey Investigates” it’s just him sat on a chair talking to the camera and the audience about what he’s been reporting on that week, but he goes off on tangents that rarely have anything to do with the subject he’s supposed to have investigated 😂 it’s on here, about 45 mins long. Also, “Kevin Turvey: The Man Behind The Green Door” which is a Mockumentary following Rik (as Kevin) around for a day, Ade pops up in it, and Robbie Coltrane too! It’s also on here full free

My grandparents took me to Lanzarote for 2 weeks in our own private Villa with our own pool and everything, and the same in Majorca, but I swear to god, the best holidays were always the haven holidays she used to collect the tokens for from the Sun newspaper! There was more to do, everyone spoke English and I was a kid surrounded by hundreds of other kids! They were the BEST!! Then when her son/my dad’s brother bought the family a big ABI caravan at Richmond Holiday Park in Skegness, things just got better! If/when I have kids of my own I’ll be taking them to the same place for a holiday! Abroad is overrated!!
