I have had the trek slash for almost 2 months and I’ve yet to experience the chain drops. I ride bike parks exclusively and huck to flat occasionally and I’m just not experiencing what others are. My buddy also has the same bike and he can’t get it to drop either. My biggest gripe is that Trek should be coming forward with a solution but I do not think we’ve heard or seen anything from them yet.

@@wonderwatch2239 Well basically yes. Not slow-mo cam, but 120 fps is enough. I was playing with the flip chip in the nomad, And I was curious how much clearance there is during the jump. You know, setting the phone on landing is not that difficult at all.

I’ve been saying this for a while, sram needs to redesign their clutches, just put a switch like shimano, and microshift. All of then had sram derailleurs right? Can you try with shimano derailleur? They have so much technology but don’t see any intentions on updating theyr clutches.

I dunno, the amount of progressive ramp-up at the end of the fork's stroke on the Giga looks really un-fun. It just hits a wall then slow-smooshes another cm or two. That is absolutely not what I would want in a fork.

I'll take a Chromag Lowdown (or maybe a Reeb SST). I'd use maybe half my travel on that jump. Are those shocks to manufacturer's recommendations, or softer to protect the bikes?

Invaluable test. I really am worried seeing the way the frame flexes (or doesn't) and the fork bends forward. After I cracked my expensive carbon top + bottom tubes on a harsh case landing(not spending $2000 to replace the front triangle), I am looking for a bike with less of this flex and more smooth shock natural shock movement before bottom out. I don't want to crash or hurt my rotator cuff ever again because my bike couldn't hold up to this sort of abuse.
