I have been looking at new lifts for the shop that l can walk under and still move the lift around. after seeing what vice grip garage added to his garage I was sold. calling wildfire and speaking to Brad I then placed an order for the larger of the 4 post they offer. this video shows what it would take start to finish if you were to tackle the assembly by yourself. it was recommended to have 2 people but I gave it a shot alone. www.wildfirelifts.com

This is a prime example of why I love watching your videos... You draw on your innate intelligence and wealth of experience to figure out the easiest/safest/most efficient way to do things, instead of trying brute force and/or simply giving up! I'm older than you, so please don't take this wrong -- but you remind me of my Dad! He was born and raised in Germany, and completed his training to become a tool and die maker in the old-fashioned German apprenticeship program. He could do pretty much anything, from repairing your watch, to plumbing, carpentry, automotive repairs, paving/concrete work, etc! And everything he did was well-thought-out, like you! He would have loved your channel; he would have loved your garage! Unfortunately, he passed away 20 years ago... Thanks for reminding me that incredible men like him are still around! When I was 78 I bought a used AMMCO lift. Unlike the lightweight metal of the wildfire it was extremely heavy. Start to finish and my wife is in her sixties we had it up and ready to go in less than four hours. Adjusted the cables later on prior to lifting a vehicle. No big deal just be careful regardless of your age it falls on you and won't have to worry about getting any older.

Hi Mustie; You sold it on me!!! I’m already 70+. I just ordered that same lift for me. I have 14’ trusses in my pole barn. This looks perfect. Now I have to wait a month or so for it to come in. I’ve been putting off fixing the trailer hitch on an old Subaru which is rusting through. I was dreading the job when I saw your YT. Thanks for motivating me (kick in the pants really) to investigate a lift. I agree the Wildfire is the best bang for the buck. One difference is I got the “Hand Bridge Jack” which suits me better as I don’t do this for a living. Besides my compressors capacity is a bit small. Anyway thanks much!!!!!! redrok

Nowadays it’s just far too wasteful to bring your work to a shop for someone else to do what you already know how to do. Mustie, you have one fantastic channel and one more definite lifetime fan. S.

Derek was very pleased with all the functions it provided as for being "mobile" as well. After now seeing you and Derek both have this lift it has helped me in my decision as to wanting to buy the same one for my shop. I do classic ford restorations in my pole barn garage I recently constructed at my house. Seeing the mobility and storage options this provides makes this choice a "no brainer" it would seem.

Thanks for the Monarch at the end. Seriously. You and I are about the same age. (I'll be 56 in March.) When we were kids in the early 1970s, you could ride your bike down the street and see THOUSANDS of them - CLOUDS - and today they seem to be going extinct. I go years at a time without seeing any at all. This past summer I saw a single Monarch on five different occasions. How sad that kids today cannot sit in a field with these all around them, occasionally lighting on their hand or shoulder. It was a very "human" thing. Seeing this little guy at the end of your Hippie Party segment made me smile. It reminded me of those summer days that used to last 65 hours until the streetlights came on and all the mamas hollered for all the kids to get inside and wash up for supper. Peace, from a fan in Mississippi…

They really should have given you that lift, you just did an hour-long infomercial for them. it is ok to advertise items that you actually believe in, there is no shame in that, the shame comes when you start pushing ball trimmers on your subscribers. So wildfire if you watched this give this man his money back he just sold some lifts for you and this video will be up for years, so you better pay him on top of it. 90,000 views already, business is business Pay The Man!

Congratulations on the lift. As you say it will change your life. That you made it to 56 working without a lift is damn impressive. At 15 I started working at a gas station pumping gas. The owner was a real cool nice guy and let employees use the two lifts after hours. Of course I never told him but I would have worked there for next to nothing just to have access to those lifts. Worked my way through college at that station. Enjoy the lift.

One suggestion; there is a "C" clip that attaches to the shroud behind the motor and oil tank that should be used to clip the hydraulic hose to insure its safety, especially when lowering the lift.

Awwe! You are so fortunate to have one of these lifts. Making work under vehicles a cinch, especially when your joints suffer from scrambling around on the floor under jacked up vehicles. Ughh! Congratulations, and loved the construction video.

Congratulations! I can feel your smile in your voice. Awesome. I'm 65, and I feel your pain. Getting down and up off the floor is no fun anymore. I don't have the garage height for a lift, but I lust for one. I will live vicariously through yours in the months ahead. I also love the way you work some NH wildlife and farm animals into your videos. They are like bonus footage you get when you watch a movie and there is a little surprise if you sit through the credits.

You deserve such a nice lift Darrin. I'm excited to see you work with it. On a second note, I spent yesterday on my back under my pristine 2001 F-250 Super Duty using the air scaler and doing the frame and running gear in the Bar and Chain linseed oil blend shot through the undercoat gun. I snowmobile in the winter so my truck is in the Cascade Mountains of WA State a lot. Over the last several years, I was getting nervous about the rust I saw developing. But, I got her all cleaned up and applied your oil formula. It went on really well using the spray gun and brushing it into all the nooks and crevices and I can see that it is going be a good coating to stop the rust progression. No rot yet and I was pleased to find it wasn't as bad as I had thought. I'll keep an eye on it and reapply as needed. Thanks for the tip. I really enjoy your videos. Warmest Regards.

This is one handy lift. You made it look Easy to assemble. That will make a big difference, and easier to weld and to do service work to a vehicle and change transmissions. Thanks Darren for showing us how to do it.

Wow Mustie this lift is great.Loved the way you assembled it. I had a look at the price in USD and I thought how can they build them for that price. My thoughts in AUD was about $11000 to $12000. Great stuff mate. This is going to make your life a lot easier. Enjoy mate. Cheers Kevin in Down town Wilcannia.
