Welcome to the addiction. Owning a vmax is so much fun and now 2 you'll have to teach the wife to ride so you can cruise side by side. Like I said I got my 2012 last year after wanting one since the first time I read about the vmax in cycle world magazine back in the 80's. I have always like the bike and it hasn't let me down. I hope you at least get to experience the 1700cc vmax it is fuel injected and can hit 60 in first gear. An awesome bike no matter what year it is.

If you were a 4 weeks earlier i had a mean mean v max i sold it for $1500 its on my channel it was running. Its on my channel if you want to see what it sounded like 4 into 1 exhaust i had kerker exhaust and stage 7 k&n jet kit with k&n pod filters! Good luck on that carb clean & gas tank removal!!10 years is a long time hopefully the brake fluid didnt gel up.

It’s has just over 20 000 km on it the only problem my dad had was it sat for 4 years it had not much gas in it the tank rusted he tore it all down and re coated the inside with a protector he sed that year of v max didn’t coat the inside of the tank I don’t know bro
