Bought the cheapest Mercedes M Class, How good?

Bought the cheapest 2006 Mercedes ML350 W164 for A$1400 Class. How bad this purchase could be?
In this video, I show you the 2006 Mercedes-Benz ML350 W164 that I bought from an auction sight unseen for only A$1400. I give you a detailed review of the car's interior, exterior, and mechanical condition, as well as the problems that I found, such as the fault codes P0016 and P0017, the ABS front speed sensor, and the non-working air-conditioning. While working on my both CLKs (Coupe and Convertible) I always loved to experience the ownership of W164 M Class Mercedes and here we go, the cheapest one in Australia money could buy, so what do you think would you buy one of these at this price? Cheers Max.

Worst Mercedes I ever bought. Have owned. Ans still own a couple w124 300d 300e/211 270cdi 320cdi/163 270cdi ml500/164 280cdi and sprinter Its the worst Mercedes I ever bought. Oil cooler seal in the om648 and horrid electronics due to water ingress at the rear light cluster, rust is on par with the sprinter. Now I just love my old school Mercedes.

Check the vent door of the blower motor under dashboard if the ac compressor works , new battery and turn the steering wheel all left and right for ads light

Thanks mate, unfortunately AC has a leak, no gas in so I am putting UV dye in, update video soon.

one comment more please check the Brake Lines from the abs to the rear brakes. take away the plastic cover under the chassis and look for rust and leaks. ours "explode" in France 😀 "Jean-claude" was so kind to repair them - so we could go on. 😀

you mentioned most of the Problems of the w164. We've one with the OM 642 - it drives nicely, but there is no fun in working on this cars. fingers cross with the balancing shaft from the engine. MB fixed the Problem with the M272 late 2007.

​@@BenzAddiction we primarily bought the car for our holiday trips 😀very comfortable for four person an language.Easy to go 800km per day. the diesel takes about 9ltr / 100km. For driving it is perfekt. But I don't like to work on it. for example the front brake disc is 12 kg, the battery is no fun to change and so on. you'll see by yourself. but all in all I totally agree about the price - they are really cheap and if you work by yourself on the car it is perfekt to own one !😀❤

A lot of car for $1400. Probably needs new spark plugs , and keep a look out for oil in the coolant reservoir due to a cooler gasket that fails.
