They didn't even mention "at last the 1948 show" which is a must for any John Cleese fan.

Yes, if you like a Cleese and Chapman sketch for Python you'll like a Cleese and Chapman sketch for 1948, because they're the same hing

Thanks for the response. I don't know why they won't allow it, but I appreciate you answering me. I watched these guys since the 70's and I do know that there was friction between the individuals. But man, could they make you laugh. Thanks again.

I've only known Alistair Sim from "A Christmas Carol". I need to hunt down some of his other movies.

LOL. I went online and found him talking about his wife. Not that this by itself is an endorsement but I think you're right. He's British.

"John Cleese is a giant of British comedy. But who are his comedy heroes? Tonight, we'll be finding out." And then within four seconds, we have found out. This video was shorter than I thought!

I never noticed it before but Kevin Kline put a little Frank Booth in that role.

Spoiler. As well as telling about John Cleese, his comedy heroes shown here are Laurel and Hardy, Alastair Sim and the Ealing Comedies-The Ladykillers. It just aids reference telling you this.

I didn't know. 99% of the time here people attack and try to start arguments. I apologize for misunderstanding. I really was just wondering. As it turned out I did some further research and John has been married at least twice, not that this alone is any definition. Again, please accept my apologies and have a great week.

Anyone who does not like this has no clue of John's genius:

It's ok. I understand, people argue with me all the time for no reason. And, by the way, he's been married actually three times. Peace

So many of my favourite comedians site Laurel and Hardy as a major influence. Ricky Gervais, in particular, always sings their praises. Yet I've never been able to get into them. From what I've seen they seem a little slapstick. Was I born too late? Is it just that before I saw the giants I was treated to the great works of those who stood on their shoulders? I am fully willing to accept that it's just that I am missing something.

I was responding to the message sent by PetiteSevi which accused me of being so thick, that I thought that just hanging around a gay person would turn them gay. If you meant no sarcasm or denigration I apologize, but it didn't come off that way. It came across as being an attack and I don't respond to attacks. If you didn't write the message then someone hijacked your account. John was very close to Graham. I was just asking a question not discussing gay philosophy.

Bizarre, zero mention of poor Benny Hill sacked by former Fawlty Towers producer John Howard Davies (talk about getting lucky, a cabbage could have produced FT and it would've been a hit with Cleese anyway) whilst Benny was still getting 10 million UK viewers for his show and America/100 countries paying millions in export profits to make other shows with not to mention him just being named the worlds most popular comedian a month before. Then there's the fact Benny inspired the Dead Parrot sketch when he was at the BBC as he did a sketch in which he tried to he palm off a stuffed duck as a parrot, blaming its condition on “shrinkage” in the 1950s. You'd have thought the Pythons would've stood up for Benny when he was getting attacked/sacked in gratitude or even comedians solidarity as he never called them out for it.

I don't think they were THAT close, mate. Anyway, as far as I know, having a gay friend does not automatically makes you gay, on the other hand, being John's friend dind't made Gray Chapman become straight.

I'm sorry but I think I'm not so enlightened and superior than the rest of the species 'cause I missed the hole point of your comment. "politically correct liberal idiots" "fascist imbeciles" and are you refering to me? I'd rather believe you sent this message to the wrong person.
