Hi Boujmaa, Thank you for this video, I like how you show two very different bottomturns, one deep and one short on the wave face to keep speed. Could you please include instructions on hand movement? When do you transition between wide grip and hands together and why. Greetings from Holland! Sound and volume is oke for me

I will do a video on hands positions, basically, my own personal perspective is that your hands allow your body to lean from a side to an other without you being crooked, so your movements are more freely, when you bottom turn at high speed you lean forward toward your sail keeping the sail relatively close to your body and back hand slide down toward the clew to help control the clew as much as possible from touching the water, although that can happen sometimes but with wide arms you have way more control over your rig than with a narrower position. Long story short, it helps in allowing the movement of the body and also adding weight to make the board turn while in total control, More details with a next video analyzing a clip of the action. Hello Hubert Sorry for my late response For the wave selection it really depends on the size of the waves and the ability to read the ocean, the best when you start wave sailing and you can see the set coming is to always catch the last wave of the set, to optimize the wave selection make your runs shorter if it’s not busy in your spot stay close to where the wave breaks and make jibe on the wave you want to catch before anyone else do, make sure there is no one jibing at the same time as you upwind, as they have priority over you, The best way to recognize the right wave is to try and observe the water movement, if there is a ground swell it’s a lot easier to see a set coming and decide the one to choose, the more you observe the ocean horizon and the nearby waters the more you will develop your skill to read the sets.
