By packing a track in advance the Snowdog had no trouble pulling heavy boulders to our new guest cabin building site.

Don't let anyone tell you that you're working to hard. If I had known better than that I might have been healthier and lived longer. I was once like you and the doctors told me to slow down for my health. Hmm, they were wrong on that one. I did slow down and now I struggle to walk 200 feet at age 64. I love your videos Martin. I wish that I'd found you before the Quacks, lol. You keep me going on days that I want to give up. Thank you for that.

Watch out for those quacks. They're doing a number on me now and I'm only 57! Or maybe it's crazy insurance company rules. Wasted 3 months at a hospital that in the end passed me on to someone else because my issues were more than they could handle.

It truly amazes me how I can be the GREATEST, NFL, quarterback EVER - on "Monday Morning"! I was yelling at the screen (4:00 min mark - when you were trying to load the first rock) to put the wheel barrow on the other side, in the hole the rock left behind. Also around the 7:30 mark - to unload the rocks at the approximate cabin corners rather than bunched together. As you already know the snow makes this job much easier , hence the move in the winter. I am guessing it (did) cross your mind though the snow may have been too deep for the dog to perform this task at this time.. again, may I remind you that in the NFL statistical columns I am an undefeated "Monday Morning QB"!!! Ha Ha Ha :))
@TheNorthwoodsman12 жыл бұрын
All good points. I could not put the rocks in the proper corners because that is still undecided. I was afraid if we loaded the rock in the old hole the Dawg may not have been able to get it moving. The Dawg performed beyond my expectations.

Is that a snowmobile without skis? Use a strap cable wrapped around those 200 lb rocks to drag them lose with the snow dog. Won't slip as much as a chain. Wrap a strap around the bucket and rock, then roll them over together. Rock will stay in the bucket. Dangerous work here. Rock roll onto your lower leg could snap that leg bone like a twig or break a bone in the foot. These look like 250 lb or more. Careful! Some Monday morning quarterbacking here. We men tend to bull into a project too quickly at times without considering safety first or the best way with available tools. If none available, get them. The project can wait.
