I like the doorman's professionalism and how he refers to the troublemakers as "sir". It's so much cooler and classier than using profanity. Then again, I get the feeling he's working a more upscale establishment. But also, doing it this way helps deescalate things, which was mentioned in part 1.

Working security at bars, clubs, and strip clubs. I encountered every scenario except the knife but I did find knives on people when searching them. I hold it for them and they forget to get it back after they leave lol. More issues in my area is not fighting with security but fights between people and you have to get involved to get them out and figuring out which one was the one who started it. Also we had a few gun threats and negligence discharges in parking lots before.

You would also know that I admit to my students at my seminars that the roots of my Kinetic Sensation Response has its roots in Wing Chun by I have taken it much further with modern tactics.

Ugh! 14:10 This situation is the one I hate the most. I don't want to be the first person to become physical and I certainly don't want to escalate the situation to a fight, but I have to get them out. What is worse is that I'm small and usually put on roaming so I don't always have another guard with me to provide assistance.

Jason Todd LOL thanks I'll remember that, but it's usually not the men that give me a problem, or the slim girls, it's the fat ones that don't want to leave until they make an impression.

Devine 100 Trust me when I say you kick a man in the balls and it will be you who leaves a big impression. Or insult how small of an impression they can make with little dicky. Any situation can be solved with one of those. Ball stomp or dick belittling. No defense possible. Also, fat doods usually have small dicks.

Then there is those on PCP or Crack, Those attackers are subhuman in that mindset they just keep coming back even on moves that would normally bring your attacker down straight away. They are hypo, agitated, Aggressive and out of their normal human pain thresh holed. These are the worst and probably most common types these days. I've seen 6 police try to control one guy like this. Being a doorman 2 decades ago might have been alright but its a different ball game now. I don't go to clubs anyway, I think the crowds they draw are shit, The prices for drinks are over the top, its the best place to get into trouble even if your not looking for it. They rife with egotistical dickheads and wankers that will start a fight if their drink gets spilled. The next two places to get in to trouble is the cab rank after the club has closed or the kebab shop in the cues. So much for anyone wanting a good night out, I wouldn't call it that at all. BTW i've not personally had any trouble at clubs that I haven't sorted out with a couple of strikes but who even wants that? Best self defence is to just simply avoid the hot spots, Have a great night with close friends and a BBQ or go see a live band or festival. There is so much more to do then to go to these over rated places and waking up $500 shorter with a massive hangover with the smell of Sambuca all over your clothes. That shits for total dickheads. One more thing if the bouncers have had a hard time earlier with some wanker they become on edge with everyone and even start fights with people who had no intention of fighting they get all pumped up and egotistical as well at some places ive seen, Not at me personally but ive seen them do it many times. Not all places or all doormen either but it happens particularly when the doorman has had a good ol line or two to help him through the night. They often patrol the doors to warn the glassiers that the cops are coming in so the glassiers hid the drugs they are selling. How many of these places operate like this eh? Thousands of them. Drugs in night clubs is big business always has been. I wouldn't care if they shut every night club down across the globe. People might see what's going on in the real world then. Just saying the example given at 11:10 that shoulder technique is way to much, The front of the shoulder is a major pressure point just strike right into it and disable his entire arm. That's enough im done.

Cowards hit men too. If you're in danger, you defend yourself. If you think "Oh, better not hit her, she's a woman" then you aren't really in danger at all.
@Nix6p10 жыл бұрын
southsidesman You might not be cut out for security work with that kind of attitude.
@Nix6p10 жыл бұрын
southsidesman That entire post has no relevance whatsoever to my point. Women can be violent threats to you just as men can. Of course you'll always favour communication first, soft techniques second and then only use hard techniques when you're in severe danger. However, to claim that a woman could never possibly attack you with enough severity that you might have to defend yourself with a higher level of force is an incredibly sheltered and naive worldview. I am just as hesitant to use force against women as I am against men. I refuse to risk my life for outdated notions of chivalry and gender favouritism. If a situation warrants the use of force, you do so. If the situation warrants a strike, you do it without hesitation. If you're qualified to carry a firearm and you have no other option but to use potentially lethal force, then you use it regardless of the gender, skin colour or age of your attacker. Persisting with this mindset that you should never use force against violent and dangerous women even when other options have been exhausted is putting both you and the public at risk. By refusing to do what is necessary to stop that threat, you're violating your duty of care and are simply not performing your job.
@Nix6p10 жыл бұрын
southsidesman So basically, you're just a massive sexist who thinks that women are weak and incapable. Righto then.
@culu20119 жыл бұрын
southsidesman absolutely not, a punch is punch and a knife is a knife. Many women have more than enough force to knock anyone down if you let here. Not to mention the parts...

good stuff until the end, that's not how you get up in a fight. opposite hand and foot then put other behind, other hand out to prevent another takedown. Eg left hand, right foot on ground. lift body up. left foot goes between right foot and left hand. right hand raised. As opposed to floundering around for balance

Tyler Frost Agree I worked the doors for 15yrs mostly clubs in Birmingham, done my SIA last year thinking of going back and walked it and my cctv same but I'll never go back now you can't even put strain on joints now so all this shown can't be used in the UK, plus a doorman bud told me now if you have a argument say with a snotty pissed up student or office type and they take your number witch you have to provide on request and contact the SIA you will be unable to work for up to 3 months even if you've done nothing wrong while they " investigate " trouble is most the kids etc know this so your in the shit nowadays, and even if there's no case found to answer to you've still lost your earnings yet nothing happens to the person that put in a formal complaint, so no thankyou it's a mugs game now, it was a good job and it could be done in a firm but fair way as I said I did it for 15+ yrs and never had to assault anyone to do the job but now all the rules are against you and the money's the same as I was earning back in the 90s so now it's a very bad choice, and close protection is only any good if you are ex services or you won't get the right / contracts / jobs you don't have to believe me but I'm 55 and I know people that have close protection licences so think very hard before spending 2k+ for such I'm just being honest with you.. Daniel Hansen This tutorial is about trying to fight back attackers at the door in the case of defense. That is stated in the title. If you want a guide that doesn’t focus on fighting back, you wouldn’t have searched this. The man in the video is not fighting for the sake of fighting, he’s showing what to do, and everyone who was here to demonstrate wanted to do it, and played their parts because they chose them. Nobody is being harmed for the sake of fighting. He even states before you get into full force, try to resolve the situation peacefully. They mention this in the stepladder part, and the three person part. This is very much not about wanting to fight.

Chris Tenorio, perhaps. A lot of bouncers also have a martial arts background, and the law in their favor if you refuse to leave when asked. So, before you end up putting him in "ICU," make sure you know the laws of the land and the use-of-force continuum. In a courtroom advertising you were in JKD for 10 years, and a 2nd degree black belt, could also bite you on the ass if you, or your attorney does not use this information correctly.
