When you remove dad, make sure to let him sit in the cup for a while, he may have babies in his mouth that he is hiding! I think Moon River Bettas recently had a video where one of her males did that.

my blue dumbo pair spawned the other day. so many eggs and after a dozen failed pairings with other bettas im happy i got one spawn. my mustard gas x yellow pair had a nest but my male ate the eggs :/ hoping these guys go well.

As I'm watching my red veiltail Jack. He seems to be catching little white balls in his mouth and swimming to the top of the tank, I was wondering what he was doing. As I look closer, I see a few wiggling and Jack scoops them up in his mouth and puts them in his bubble nest. I said OMGoodness, Jack and Jill had babies!!!! I immediately removed Jill. As I looked closer I saw more babies, omgoodness. Now I need help on what to do and Your videos are so helpful, Thank You.

the water should be 3-4” deep for able to the male catch all the falling egg the male having a hard

heyy!! i hav a question...how should i help the male betta taking care of his newly hatch fry..the bubble nest kept breaking and the baby kept falling...i feel bad for the male betta going up and down..(abt 15+ fry falling at the same time)

odd question, I have a male betta (idk what breed exactly, from Walmart and looks like a mix, pretty colors thou) and I know him making bubble nests are a sign of him being happy and healthy, I was wondering if getting a female and letting them breed may also help with his health and happiness because recently he stopped making his nests and just seems less energetic, and I tested and changed everything but it all read fine and he stayed the same. not really so much into the interest of going in to selling the fry, but I would put the time in to raise them properly just to see how they turn out and would then give them to a local pet store instead :) basic question cause I know this is longish, should I get a female for him to breed? will it help with making him happy?

Never got the chance to get betta babies as my girl betta ate my boys fins :c I was in tears as that boy betta died, he was my fav, he had amazing colors and my first :( He was super healthy too

im so tempted to breed my crown tail black orchid male with one of my females. My females are the more wild coloration of a brown/ blackish body with red fins and terqiose characteristics ( very striking) Im a huge fan of the terqiose coloration and Im wanting to make a project of developing a line of as much of this feature as possible. Would a black orchid crown tail be considered as a good quality male to breed from or would it be frowned as a back yard pet shop spawn. I have a video of my females in question. let me know what you think :)

I noticed that in this video the bubble nest bubbles are not small or foamy. Currently im trying to breed a pair and the male's bubbles are like the ones here, bigger globs of air pocket underneath a plant. Is such nest good for the eggs? Just wanna make sure before i introduce the female.

Some males build better bubble nests then others. As long as there is a secure spot with no current it should be ok. You can also use bubble wrap as a "fake" bubble nest
