@@donaldhokanson3321 when you bounce everything as separate tracks do you adjust all of the volumes at the proper levels, basically at hot as you get them without peaking? Im going to send it all to a professional mixer, and im just wondering if there is a specific level every drum file should be at, and how to set them of possible.
@donaldhokanson33212 жыл бұрын
@@straightbrutality9264 if you're sending it to a professional mixer don't worry about getting the tracks louder. They have the ability to do that and usually appreciate having tracks with plenty of headroom. Makes it easier to mix. You can have the levels how it sounds good to your ears, without clipping of course, and just send that. No need to do any pre-processing. That's literally their job.

@@donaldhokanson3321 i appreciate the info, so there isn’t specific level everything should be at without clipping of course? Im just trying to make it as easy as possible for everyone involved.
@donaldhokanson33212 жыл бұрын
@@straightbrutality9264 Not really. In the digital recording world you don't have to worry about the noise floor as much. And if you're using SD3 or any other VST instrument you don't have to worry about it at all. If you're still nervous check your mix against a standard loudness measurement like LUFS. When your whole mix is playing you probably want to be under -20LUFS so the mix engineer has enough headroom to work with.

You can just export each drum one at a time by soloing the snare for example, and bouncing that as one stereo track. Easier than messing with the outputs

I didn't get why you are making another bus for the kit, snare, toms etc. When not take the output from the already bussed channels. This way you'll still get the processing that's already there, apart from the processing on the Kit, which, as you said, you can emulate in your mix. Did I miss something?
@NickiTedesco6 ай бұрын
I saw your question and started scratching my head and asking the same. However, I continued and realized that it's because those are going to a BUS, he then set those out to an OUTPUT. The software doesn't have an option to bounce a bus, it only has an option to bounce the outputs.
@ElliottErnst23 күн бұрын
@@NickiTedescoso HOW do you bounce the OUTPUTS WITH!! The BUS Prosessing??? Essentially keeping the preset sound. I would appreciate if you could explain

When I do this, the outputted files aren’t adhering to the project tempo (I have ‘follow host’ enabled). How can I correct this?

Hey .. can u confirm that output tracks are skipped when there is no midi routed to them? I set up output tracks for all of the Rack and Floor Toms separately and the Output Bounce skipped the Tom tracks with no midi data. It was confusing at first and then I realized only a couple of five Tom tracks actually had data on them. Thx much
@Nikkimaya15 жыл бұрын
Maybe I'm missing something, but why can't you just select multi channel output under the mixer tab in the upper left corner? That's how I have been doing it and the whole set sounds in my DAW as individual tracks just like it did in SD3 as one stereo track.

@@JFKDrums I figured it out. Instead of selecting Stereo when you go to load your plugin, you have to select Multi-track
@nichttuntun33644 жыл бұрын
Doesn't this thing have multiple outs for each team in SD? So we can record all tracks individually into DAW or process from the start within the DAW? I don't like those DAW within DAW mixing approaches. The drum kits should be unprocessed and then open for sound design within your DAW to use your well known and favorite processing tools. It's that possible with SD3? If not we won't get friends :)

Hi there, I didn't create the drums in the actual superior drummer 3. I took the samples from the grooves and put them straight into the logic pro x DAW. I'm wanting to split the the drums up into individual tracks, then load them onto logic. How can I do this? When I used superior drummer 2 I did this easily .
@PhilipGregory19818 ай бұрын
Exactly my problem. Can't find a solution for this, and this video does not show the solution. There's no reason for Superior to have changed this feature. So stupid.

I’m having an issue where when I bounce my drum part to an audio track the volume is extremely low when I play it back even with the levels adjusted so that audio 1+2 out is at 0db when bouncing the audio. I read on another post that bouncing everything on separate outputs solves this problem but is there a way or rather a fix for this so that when I bounce my mix as a whole onto one track it’ll be the correct volume?

Maybe check to make sure that your buffer isn't set too low. If you're rendering I would set it at least at 512 or higher.

Split stereo microphone is more for Pro Tools as PT has stereo channels made from two separate mono tracks, not like Cubase and most of other DAWs. I wish Superior would let me bounce all microphones with all the processing. I like to work on separate drums the way how you would get them from real recording. This allows me to work on a material similar to the real thing.

Hey does anyone happen to know why it doesn't bounce a song with tempo changes properly?
@danteyoutu2 жыл бұрын
That’s a pain. You have to first add a midi with the tempo of the song to the superior drummer midi track (that’s a whole process). Then you have to turn off Follow host on SD3 and then you can bounce it.
