Pretty sweet video, loved the dolphins! Those little fellas are so cool to watch. You two inspire me to get back out on the water soon. I'm sure I'll run into around the island one day. When that day comes I'll share some of Chino hills finest herb with you two, I might even have a few buttons. Stay safe and enjoy the ride my friends.

Hey Guys, Just found your channel and wanted to say how much I enjoyed your video , I do have to say that it did make me a bit ... Homesick... I was born and raised in SoCal and sailed all the islands in my mis-spent youth. Looks like your boat is docked close to where I had mine in .. in Long Beach.. Robert North Star

Nice. Can't wait to see San Miguel from your perspective. I was out at Santa Barbara Island last week. Also had a ton of porpoises between Catalina and SB Is. We had up to 40kts crossing between SC and SR in July. Looks like you chose a good wx window!

@@SailorJames Sorry to hear that. I've watched the weather around that Island for a year and 90% of the time it looks inhospitable. Hope it all worked out in the end and is an experience you benefit from (and can share with us). Thx.

Hey fellow Alberg 30'er. Thanks for the update. That anchorage looks great, and the wind direction worked for you too. Your project videos are super. I have been sailing my pre-liner A30 for 13 seasons without an inboard engine -- took out the Atomic4 a few years back; I do have a 6HP outboard but sail whenever possible. I'd like to consult you about removal of the cutless bearing/housing/prop shaft etc that you touched on a video earlier this year. Cheers, David A30 #319

Great passage! Just wondering? Do you feel the Iridium Go & Predict Wind is a necessity? Do you have experience with & without? Please share! We are trying to decide if we need one.
@SailorJames4 жыл бұрын
This was our first time using it, we have done a ton of cruising without it, if we were just going to be doing coastal cruising and within a day or so range of cell service I would say it’s not worth the money but we are planning some serious ocean passages for next year so for that I would say it’s a must have

When did you change the channel name? I like it, but I am wondering if the transport & delivery days are coming to an end? Will you have multiple channels?
@SailorJames4 жыл бұрын
I changed it the other day, the deliveries will continue to happen and be filmed when interesting and will always be labeled as “Yacht Delivery Chronicles” and still be featured on this channel, we will be departing for full time cruising in the near future and I wanted to make it more balanced and about the boat and us sailing as a family. I started this channel in 2015 when it was just me crewing on deliveries and then getting my boat.

I thought you meant the Islands off France, well worth seeing! I'll be meeting you in some bay one day! Got a medical condition to deal with, then its down to boat selection. Like mentioned the dollars role out with each foot. I am considering a 28-30 feet boat, capable of ocean sailing I hope so, perhaps you can comment here. Single keel of sound construction. Seen some for £6000 which allows for additional upgrading. Seeing a bare mermaid watching the sea ahead, well it was a treat. Is it wrong of me to ask you to name 4 boats available in the uk. Like mentioned your lifestyle is envious. Each marina has the views of a 2 million pound house on the fringe of a marina. My first 12 months will be touring the UK and perhaps France. Then I'll venture out. Took early retirement but can paint to a saleable standard, may bring a little revenue in. Would love to hear from you, Thanks, Phil.
