I almost didn't even bother going out this black friday, but did convince myself to, but still couldn't stomach paying for this one. Glad to hear I made the right decision, but of course sorry that you didn't enjoy it.

Weird, I was waiting for this video and your final review if the series but KZbin didn't notify me. Glad I double-checked. Sad that even this variant is disappointing. I'm willing to bet you will not like the 24' "Prop" but maybe the "Rare"?

The algorithm does not seem to like my channel, glad you found the review. I was really disappointed in this one. I haven't found the rare yet, and honestly, I am not looking too hard, after the rest of this season's offerings. If i see it, I will buy it and review it, it just hasn't been available in my area. I never go after the prop. Its annoying that I can't get it in NY without paying a ridiculous amount for it on the secondary market. So i normally just let that one go. Bummer to hear your review. I am really looking forward to this and I do enjoy Rye so I might enjoy it. I now go back to my Bruery recommendations and would remove my Rye suggestion lol If interested, I would love to get in touch and send some local (Dallas, TX) BA stouts that I know you would love.

If you're a Rye Drinker, you might enjoy this, but I do think that the base stout was a bit weak, so the variants have been a bit weak. Thanks for watching. Cheers.

Wow. I respect your opinion. Of course, everyone’s palate is different.. But I was able to snag 4 of these bottles- drank one on release day and had a pour on tap- I think it’s a real treat and an awesome beer. That Said, I too was not thrilled with this year’s lean BCBS lineup- and the 2nd straight year Goose Island has done nothing with coffee (which is highly disappointing).. I liked the Vanilla Rye variant- and think that one will age well. The Macaroon variant surprised me- better than I thought it would be. The base was a bit thin.. But pretty solid. This cask finish variant is by far the best out of the lineup (IMO at least).. This has definitely not been my favorite BCBS lineup and I did not spend as much $$ on it this year.. Cheers 🍻…

@@tromo03 I think you have to be a person that enjoys rye to enjoy this year's lineup. I am just not a rye fan, so this year BCBS is sort of a disappointment for me. Again, I think everyone has a different opinion based on palate, so I get it that some people love this year's offerings. I agree with you on the coffee, I liked their last two coffee offerings. I also wish they would do a classic bourbon based vanilla. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Wasn’t to happy about this release either. Didn’t chase any. But would like to try the macaroon & classic flavors. I did however find an ABC store that had 30th anniversary BCBS and I grabbed that quicker than I can draw a breath LOL. And for original MSRP too.

@@gingeryetiroadbeers I got ripped off. Definitely not worth the money, but I know a lot of reviewers who loved it. I did not. It tasted like 59 dollars worth of disappointment.
