If you hadn't said it I would have. LOL. Yup, she and a few others broke several rules, and paved the way for the changes that started in the what is country now. Even when it came out they were saying this was breaking rules and she became known for this 'edgy' feel in her career.

Congrats on being the first reactors I've found who made the Palmer connection lmao. Shania shook country music up. Her music ran from super country to pop, whatever she felt like writing and signing and made her big bags of money. She dominated the 90s. For more country leaning songs by here, I'd recommend No One Needs to Know.

Shania was a cross over STAR, but she is basically a Country singer/song writer. It’s funny that you got the joke of the Robert Palmer video :) From Wiki “According to the RIAA she is the only female artist in history to have three (consecutive) albums certified Diamond by the RIAA[19] and is the sixth best-selling female artist in the United States. Altogether, Twain is ranked as the 10th best-selling artist of the Nielsen SoundScan era.[20] Billboard listed Twain as the 13th Greatest Music Video Female Solo Artist of all time (42nd overall).”

One of the Canadian crown jewels in our music industry. Shania is a home grown talent who charted both in the country charts as well as the pop charts at the same time. I'm not sure if this is one of those songs but she held number one spots on both charts with multiple times with her music. Something very few other artists have done even once. Please dive into the rabbit hole of her music you want regret it. Great review, damn I wish I had access to the variety of Bourbons you southern neighbour's have. 🇨🇦 Roll on 18 Wheelers Roll On 🇺🇸

It played on country and pop. She is more a country singer. Most of her other songs have a more country vibe. I love "From This Moment" By Shania. She has a solo verson and one where she sings with Bryan White, who I don't think you guys have reacted to you. Also, "That Don't Impress Me Much' is a great song/video. She went many years without singing, as a result of stress from her divorce (her husband cheated on her!) and she had some medical issues that required throat surgery. She's back to singing some and she is as beautiful as ever. Has Sara Evans been suggested? "No Place That Far" is one of my favorite songs. And "Suds In The Bucket" is another I would suggest. Also considered Terri Clark "I'm An Emotional Girl" and the video to her song "Girls Lie Too" is great. And "Better Things To Do" I think you guys will like her style.
@lefty31415912 жыл бұрын
Let me second "That Don't Impress Me Much", "Suds In The Bucket", and "Better Things To Do" although all of these are great songs. For a real double neck guitar that gets used, check out Junior Brown. His is a double neck with one being a steel guitar, and he uses both. I think I've recommended him before. Singing, "Youre wanted like by the police" and to really see his playing "Surf Medley" or "Freeborn Man"

After her multi-year retirement when she was married to music producer/promoter Mutt Lange…she did her comeback concert post-divorce in Chicago [Grant Park]…free open-air…about 100,000 fans. It was fantastic, I was there and took about a dozen friends that I had free tickets for. Her first concert in years…she did nearly 3 hours and everyone had a blast. You can find it on KZbin.
