6 Grammys for Kacey. Her last album won 4, including Album of the Year. Not for a genre, for all the genres. She's also on Sesame Street, signed to the same modeling agency as the Hadid sisters, writes her own songs, did a Christmas Show, smokes weed with Willie Nelson. Crazy and interesting and super talented.

This song always gets to me, I was raised in a little town, married a rancher and got out, eventually came back and realized how much I missed it, but am glad I had all those years away to learn that life doesn't have to be a sad merry go round. Thank you for the great reaction.

Kacey writing is inspired by John Prine and in fact became very close friends with him. Her song “burn one with John Prine” kinda gives you a feel for her music. Please give her another listen!!! Her voice is so pure and beautiful.

Love the song, I know to many who justifiably took this route. Kasey Musgrave is such a talented song writer. Gotta give a different side of the story though. Dated at 14, married at 19, still married because we choose to live and grow together. We're working on 30 years because we choose to get off the merry go round together.

I think people should explain when giving you these "CMT Crossroads" recommendations that the non-country artist who's performing with the country artist is most of the time going to try and "countrify" themselves to match the person they're singing with depending on which artist's song is being sung, they switch back and forth. That's about the only time you'll hear Katy Perry sound that non-pop. Kacy Musgraves is not really a belter, she has a very sweet melodic country voice and is good at story telling through song. Her song Rainbow is a beautiful song with a message. You should add that to your list and you'll hear just Kacy Musgraves singing her style.

I had never heard this song before but damn, it is relatable. I can think of a dozen girls I went to school with who married young and came to regret it. A few managed to get off the Merry Go Round but too many are stuck on it and it's sad to see.

I don't know if other people's brains work like mine (for their sake I hope not) but I tend to link songs together; I always get this one confused with Tracy Lawrence "Time Marches On" which I mix up with Bellamy Brothers "Old Hippie" they are all somewhat similar songs both musically and content wise. Three solid songs that evoke similar emotions for me! Not entirely sure what that emotion is. It's not nostalgia, it's not sorrow, I guess if I had to describe it, it's a sort of sadness and fatalism that life moves on and sometimes moves past us. I know this is an older video so y'all probably won't see this comment, but thanks for all that y'all do! I really enjoy the Chanel!

Kacey Musgraves is an incredibly talented songwriter & vocalist. She’s a bit out of the box for some country music ‘purists’. Not me. I feel music is art and art is both fluid and subjective. If it ceases to be either, it ceases to be music. JMHO🤷🏼♀️ Regardless, this song is a standout!! Check out her Follow Your Arrow, Rainbow, and Mind Your Own Biscuits!!
