That's also what Keanu basically said he likes about playing John Wick as well. He likes to see him suffer and get hurt, get all bruised and bloodied by the end of the movie. He always comes out on top (like Bourne) but we see him take plenty of licks and not always beat everyone invincibly without any mistakes or taking any damage.

I trained in Krav Maga for a few years. I was amazed at how realistic these fight scenes were! They're not completely realistic. Fights don't happen this smoothly in real life and there's still a slight touch of drama and flair that you won't see in a real fight but the techniques are very real. These are my all time favorite fight scenes in movies. I wish they were all like this.

Many people judge the bourne movies for the huge amount of shaky cam but i think i understand why it was used especially in the scenes where bourne fights other agents and not when he fights random dudes. A random field agent is no match for him but the other treadstone agents are a huge threat and that's why those fights are so crazy dramatic and shaky even bourne doesn't have full control in those fights and to show it the shaky cam is used.

I don’t believe they can make another movie without diminishing the whole franchise. Maybe they can find a genius writer that can put together a story that’s not just flash. Goddamn it Jason! All of this superior training and skill and you ALWAYS get distracted when the f*cking PHONE rings?! That's Bush. Bush League! lol. Also, i know its all fake and choreographed. Damon himself has multiple interviews talking about how he cannot fight a lick in real life, but man this is convincing! And the choreographers got a lot of things right. One which is proving what my combat instructors in Marine Corps used to say "Weapons make you stupid". Or more accurately, "Weapons make you PREDICTABLE". Even Desh, who at one point had Bourne dead to rights until Nicky stepped in made the fatal mistake of becoming dependent upon a weapon. At the point in the fight where both are exhausted and fatigue about to determine the winner, he grabs the blade. This made his angles of attack completely predictable giving Bourne the advantage.
