In Robert Ludlum's books, Marie not only survives but is a major character and contributes significantly to the plot in books 2 and 3. It's a shame they didn't stay true to the books. Marie was a great character.

In the films you may have issues that don't occur in the books, the actress, may not be available for future fims, or she might not want to do them, don't know if this was the case, but like i say, you simply never have these issues in the books.

When I first saw this film I criticized it because the trained sniper shot the wrong person. Rewatching it, I can see now that they switched places out of sight and the shooter didn't know. He was shooting at a head in the sunlight at a distance and that's what he hit.
@thagoods37633 жыл бұрын
The real question……..is that why Bourne switched seats 🤔
@hrickthegeek2 жыл бұрын
@@thagoods3763 Just finished rewatching that part, turns out that the plan was that Marie would drop off Jason at a safe spot beside the bridge with the gun, and that she would drive off and meet him after he hunts down the assassin. Bourne likely knew that the sniper wasn't there to kill Marie, but rather was too focused on him so they changed seats while he took out the gun from the glove box.
@52156drj2 жыл бұрын
The real problem with this scene is a sniper shooting at a moving object. Hitting any moving object at an unknown distance, moving at an unknown speed, on an unknown trajectory, with unknown starts and stops with seat of the pants guesses as to atmospheric conditions after a sprint to get into a position that he couldn't possibly have known about is the height of absurdity.
