Bow reviews are becoming more and more of a staple need for the community. Anymore, you can buy a great bow from any brand and it will ultimately come down to nit picking and personal preference to separate them and make a choice. For me, Bowtech's tuning system and features are my preference that puts them above others, but it is harder and harder as the years progress to separate most of the brands. Appreciate the videos and best of luck this season, looking forward to some good hunting stories.

I couldnt agree more Brandon. The HBX exact cam system is my absolute favorite of all time. Im loving my RX8 Ultra and the shorter option and the Alpha X platform are just as solid. I eagerly await the 2025 launch.

I shot the Alpha X when it came out and I agree with you 100% and it’s so smooth I have shoulder issues and 55 was the most I could do without my shoulder getting sore and with the Alpha X I could shoot 65 no problem great bow! I bought a older 2019 Hoyt helix for $500 because I didn’t have the money to get the alpha X but shooting the alpha X and the helix the draw was very similar so smooth so I’m happy with my helix and I can shoot 65 as well with the helix I got it at 60 for comfort but I will get a newer Hoyt once more money flows in with this new job.

I test shot 7 bows and the Hoyt Alpha X was by and large my favorite. I left with the Elite Ethos. The Hoyt is awesome if you have access to a bow shop or a bow press. They never addressed the tuning on these bows. I’m two hours away from a shop shop I needed something I can at least broad head tune myself. Still best shooting bow is the Hoyt
@C.Adams824 ай бұрын
I agree, its 2024, why are we still shimming cams with spacers to get a bow tuned. Bowtech is the best with this, turning a bolt. Elite with the limb pocket adjust and even pse 2.20 system is great. Companies that still require the axel to be pulled to shim need come up with new tech. Its literally how i choose a bow now. All the major brands make great bows, you cant go wrong with any but ease of tuning is what i look for
@chrisfavorin11074 ай бұрын
In the end THIS is the most important aspect when I am purchasing a bow. I dont want to spend a lot of money on presses and tools to do minor adjustments on my bows. If I need new strings, Ill pay my local shop to press my bow but, to do minor tuning both during setup or throughout the season. The BowTechs blow ALL the others away. Thats why my last 2 bows have been BT and will continue to be BT till those options come out on Hoyt. Elites are the close second. (same reasons)

Fanboys are fanboys. EVERY manufacturer has them. All these manufacturers make great bows. It just comes down to how they and then we sell ourselves on their bows. This review was good, but I'm no closer to believing for myself that Hoyt is now far and away the very best bow manufacturer out there because Brandon thinks so. Everyone that is looking for a bow should go shoot a bunch of bows and pick the one that feels best to them. It's not real hard. I wish everyone luck this Fall.

@@BackyardBows mechanical broadheads counter productive. Idk about other people but I don’t like taking chances with something that can fail break malfunction or simply not work when I can make the logical decision to use a fixed blade that has the kind of structural integrity that makes it impossible to fail. Full Metal Joket arrows are also counter productive. We stopped using aluminum a long time ago because they eventually start to bend and become unsteady during flight. Why do I wanna spend twice as much for arrow that gonna suck in a short time under regular usage? I buy arrows and bows cuz I wanna shoot them. Not because I wanna show ppl I have something cool. And that’s the only redeeming quality of the FMJ arrow is the cool factor of calling it that. Theres no benefit to that aluminum on the outside or the inside. The Easton 6.5 matrix, accucarbon fiber pattern, no spine, way less weight in a strong package that allows me to put something strong up front where the extra weight is actually useful to flight and penetrating a deer…yup I’m going with that. I remember when I tried to use mechanical broadheads and FMJ arrows and had nothing but problems , liability and just overall bad season all around worrying about my equipment. What I got now…100% slayer activities on that end, and when my arrow hits something super hard like a bone, or a rock after it passes through the deer like it was paper…my arrow doesn’t splinter into a thousand pieces at the end cuz I dared to put a actual adult broad head on it. Know what else is a great arrow? GT hunter XT 250 spine and a 100grain GT brass insert and any decent fixed blade with structural integrity. Montec, Black Hornet serated, but my favorite is Alien archery single bevel. Just like grizzly stik designs…it will literally twist and snap big bones like it’s nothing and still make surgical cutting performance on vital organs cuz it’s made of S7 tool steel. I know I know. Do I really NEED all that.? Maybe not. Maybe I do. Or maybe it’s just common sense🤷🏻♂️ I mean…I have seen shit fail break or otherwise NOT DO what it was supposed to do. So I definitely need something that is gonna work no matter what. It’s the bill of rights. Not the bill of needs. And I got every right to want to take very seriously every minute of time I get in the woods, and I encourage others to do the same. Just cuz everyone else is trying to gaslight and browbeat us down simply cuz we’re brave enough to admit we should be using adult arrows….dont mean we gotta follow along w that stupid shit. I understand Josh Bowmar and his quest to make a good mechanical. And that’s good. Someone shoulda done that the first time 🤷🏻♂️ but I’m not convinced and I don’t know that I’ll ever be convinced again to use something like that. I’d rather spend more on a IronWill. Actually the ranch fairy just got a new single bevel on the market at SIRIUS archery. And it’s definitely tits…. no boubt adout it. Go check it out. Get adult arrows and broadheads 👍🏼
