Good review with honesty.Constructive criticism is fine.These are high brand of speakers but no product is perfect.You mentioned how good these speakers are overall for the size.

Great video,i ordered a pair of 607 in same color from Peter Tyson uk for £319 Never heard B&W before but its time to try,they gonna replace my Dali Zensor 1 and hifi i use is Denon DRA 100

Great review, but I don’t agree with the listening distance - I have them in a 5x3 metre room and they fill this room with more than enough sound!

I agree with your review. At mid level volume its a great little thing but if you go over 70-75db the tweeter goes up more than the mids and bass. Its just weird. I have these speakers for about 6 months and im contemplating of replacing them because the highs really irritates me when going up in volume. The only thing thats holding me back is its size, its just so compact.

L D yes! Recently did with the wharfedale evo 4.2. I know they are oversized but i really like the sound. The highs are just annoying on the 607 at louder volumes. Turned the 607 to desktop speakers and they work great.

Great review. Will they pair easily with my Marantz PM6006 ? ATM I'm using the Zensor 1 speakers. I generally listen to Electronic, acoustic and classical. I'm thinking of a speaker upgrade.

Yeah they definitely will pair well with that Marantz. I used them with a Marantz for a while and it was fantastic. They will work very well for acoustic and classical music.

i have the 5005 and they work very nicely with that amp. its the music you play and I mostly have classical guitar,.

Orin Naughton I've got a few items. I'm not sure what will be next, so in no particular order: Micca OoO, Kanto TUK, Schiit Vidar, HSU HB-1 MK2, SVS Prime Bookshelves, Elac Debut B6.2, Magnepan LRS, Wharfedale Diamond 225, NAD D3020, Ascend Acoustics Sierra 1, and I might make a comparison between the Tin T2, T4, and P1. I also might do the Micca MB42X and RB42 as well. I might be forgetting something as well.

Thanks for the review. Do they come with an either optical cable or something that could connect to a tv?

These are passive speakers (not powered by internal amp). They do not connect directly to the TV. You need an amplifier to drive them. The amplifier connects to the TV and other devices.

Chris Brzostowski you need an amp to power them. If you get something like a PS Audio Sprout 100 you could plug them into the TV via optical. For a cheaper option, a Topping MX3 would work, but I haven't personally used one so I don't personally know how well they work, but they get good reviews.

If my fronts are 805d3 and center is HTM2D3, would the 607 be good enough for my surrounds? The problem is the place i would put them in is quite tight and the depth size of the 707 is much deeper than the smaller 607 but the question is, can the 607 keep up with my other speakers? My room is only small at 4m x 4.5m x 2.4m height (18sqm or 1500cuft). Amp is marantz pre plus emotiva xpa6 for surrounds and atmos and rotel rmb1858 for LCR. Subs are dual PSA3611 (18").

Yeah the 607s would definitely be good enough for surrounds. The surrounds aren't as important as the front speakers.

You spent a lot of time bashing them, even though they're just a tiny bookshelf speaker, but would you recommend them for use as surrounds?

I didn't "bash" them particularly hard, but I just pointed out the flaws pretty well I'd say. They're good speakers and I would be happy to have them in my home. I think they'd make good surrounds since they're quite small but really pack a punch.

@@polyreviews2558 - Thanks for the reply, but I think you bashed them, and if you haven't noticed, you're kinda the odd man out here on youtube that's done it, because for what these are, mini desktop speakers, there's really not anything that's any better in the price range. You talked about them as if they were supposed to sound like big floor standing towers, and they're not. You just sounded like someone that doesn't particularly like B&W, and took an opportunity to talk them down.

Optimal sound at 5 feet!? Yikes. I would think people that buy speakers of this size are looking at least at 9feet, typically 15 or more.

Huh? These are the smallest speakers B&W make! They are the same size as most near-field studio monitors.

he is pretty right, b&w make different size models for different environments, for example the 606 to the 607

Them speakers are not worth the price to many other speakers sounds a lot better sorry and they are a lot cheaper.
