Excellent review. I just bought the same and after 12 hours use the left earbud developed sound interference noise in ANC mode which was very annoying. The solution which resolved this was to use iPhone sim pin to use on the case next to type c connection for 3-5 sec with earbuds in case . This worked thank goodness.

Thanks Ron, The only thing the bugs me about B&W, once you buy one of their expensive items, example PX8 Cans, you may never get an app firmware update, when you showed the equalizer on the Pi8, I thought, wow! at last an possible update for the PX8 within the app, but it was not to be, Yes my PX8 are gangster sounding as I am sure the Pi8 are, but come on B&W, "pull your finger out" and get with some firmware updates for everyone that spent the big $$

I totally agree. They should release an app update that gives that graphic EQ to all their wireless products. Hopefully (don't hold your breath), they will do that. If so, I will drop a video about it.

I love your in depth reviews. I am getting the Pi8 for Christmas. I love the look of the midnight blue but the anthracite black looks really classy too. The Jade Green also looks beautiful in the pictures on the B&W site.

IMO, the Pi8 have a better overall sound. I love the sound of the EX, but their volume is low and the ANC is absolutely terrible.

Just s point of clarification. You said they are Bluetooth 5.2. They are actually Bluetooth 5.4, which is the newest Bluetooth available.

Got my pair yesterday. These things are pretty loud @ 80% but they sound pretty good with standard aptX. I wish Samsung would stop dragging their feet & get on board with aptX lossless.

I bought the sennheiser 4's but returned them immediately after making 2 phone calls, both people on the other end told me that I sounded horrible. I'm a truck driver so both listening to music and making phone calls is very important to me. The sound quality when listening to music and podcasts is EXCEPTIONAL. I own the momentum 3 and I have no complaints about sound and call quality. Beleive it or not but this was my true experience with the mtw4 and I was very upset that this was the outcome.

I had the momentum 4 wireless and currently have the pi7 s2. I regret returning the momentum 4s wireless. Sound better than the pi7 s2 wit the eq adjustments. I kept the pi7 s2 because they looked nicer. But im looking to return the pi7 but im not sure if upgrading would be a good idea if I should just get the momentum 4s.

Yes, they are fixed controls. You can only change the long press function.

@@ronontech Thanks Ron, you are the best. I reconnected the earphones to test them first and now they work luckily.. the b&w even in the pi7 s2 have some imperfections in the bluetooth connection. Have you done the new firmware of the momentum 4. Today I'm doing it I hope they increased the volume by a few db. In my opinion the previous ones made it worse. What does it matter. some posts mention that there is no more strong bass in pi8 as in pi7, i know that you like bass, how do you find the bass impact in pi8?

The bass on the Pi8 is much better than the Pi7. Especially now that they have an EQ in the app.

The In-Ear sensor wasn't working right out of the box and after a factory reset. But they did begin to work a short time afterwards.

If you care about the price, forget these. These are definitely overpriced. Get Galaxy buds pro on clearance for like 6 times less money. They'll give you 90% the experience. If you want something with significantly better sound quality than that, you should look at over ear headphones imo. But audio in general does get into diminishing returns quite quickly. Also the tuning of these Bowers Wilkins is not as good for general purpose (not just music listening) as earbuds that target the Harman tuning like the buds pro.

I didn't get the Pi7 S2 but I do have the Pi7. And in my opinion, it is worth the upgrade.

They really need to either design a less generic logo or at least emboss the current one; the way they print it on stuff like this gives the appearance of a whitelabel product.
