PEDRO AMPUERO HUNTING ADVENTURES

PEDRO AMPUERO HUNTING ADVENTURES

Күн бұрын

In this video series we are going to bring you each week different stories from our last bowhunting trip to Greenland.
An amazing group of hunters which included Remi Warren, Adam Foss, Cole Kramer, Justing Lee, Moe Newman, Joe Koehly, Francesca Foss, Nick White and myself will be sharing camp for over a week.
In this second episode I share some time chasing Cole Kramer around, a profesional hunting guide in Kodiak Alaska. Be ready to see some sick hunting action combined with some entertainment from Cole, Remi Warren and myself.
Be sure to check every week for some new episodes, and keep an eye as some episodes will be released on Remi Warrens KZbin channel, so make sure to subscribe to his awesome content.

What many bow hunters don’t take into account on real world hunting is it’s not like a 3-d course or shooting from a chair sitting in a pop up blind. It’s about getting close enough to put an arrow into the animal. Maybe two or three arrows. All the factors your body has experienced right up to the moment of releasing that arrow are part of that shot. Then throw in the wind, your body position, watery eyes blurring your vision, bulky clothing etc, and you have so many variables that it’s almost an accident of a heart or solid double lung hit. What a great bull!👍👍

Excuses. Shit goes wrong but never in the 35 deer in my house have I taken a hard quarter at 70+ then spine one at 20 and then defs needed another while in 2wheel drive. 4 arrows and all a mess😂 be better or stay at home

Man the quartering away shot at far yardage was pretty sad man.. first shot was clearly high right, second was a bad decision, third you got lucky. Glad it worked out, but ethic man..

Honestly would’ve been worth them keeping this video in the vault, really isn’t a good look nor is is promoting ethical hunting. It’s cowboy shit like this that really puts a bad taste in peoples mouths, especially the ones that do it ethically.

As a bowhunter myself I’m pretty disappointed to see it be portrayed in such an unethical way. With shooting ability like this at such a distance the focus should’ve been to close the distance to create a better opportunity instead of flinging arrows until he eventually spine shoots it. A clean ethical shot should be the priority not this cowboy shit. It makes the lifestyle look bad.

That was probably the most rank amateur sh1t I have ever seen 😂 shit goes south and has for me in 20yrs of bow hunting but to miss, take a hard quarter then spine it with the 3rd, 1000000% a 4th went into that deer while it was in 2wheel drive

Usually a big fan but this was pretty sad seeing shots at long ranges not hitting the mark and probably shouldn't have been take too much suffering should have used a rifle

I think its a good thing to show that not every time they have perfect shot or they could just make some editing and done, i like they tell the truth i dont like the animal suffer, i dont think i would take the shot

@Logan Victor it does not happen more with rifles. Dangerous game in Africa and Alaska is usually hunted with rifles because they put animals down at peak effectiveness. Average bow has 70 ft lbs of energy @ "muzzle" A 30-06 /w a 180 gr. bullet going 2,900 has 3,100 ft lbs of energy. Do people shoot stuff often with rifle and wound them due to overconfidence, in its abilites? Sure. Does that mean they're wounding more game out in the field on the regular. Not even a little bit. I've killed about 50 deer and elk with my rifle. Wounded 1 deer. I've killed 4 elk with my bow. Wounded 2. Completely different worlds. Not even close. The margin of error is orders of magnitude smaller with archery, the level of patience needed also proportionally higher. Not saying there aren't slobs with crap ethics slinging lead but guys do it with arrows just as much and they wound more animals with arrows. Especially elk out west.

Should've either been closer or been a better shot. A rifle would be a good choice. Probably harder to transport to another country depending on rules. Easy to second guess field- made decisions from a smartphone also.
