Hello! I’m Vivienne, the châtelaine of a small 19th century neo-Renaissance castle in the Loire Valley of France, which I share with my delightful (and wonderfully funny!) husband, Simon, our daughter, and -whenever possible- lovely friends and family.
This is not our first chateau! 23 years ago, we bought a much larger castle nearby, which we loved with all our hearts. However, nearly 2 decades, many happy memories, countless renovations, and several small fortunes later, we made the very difficult, empty-nesting decision to downsize. With great luck and perseverance, we found our current petit château, which we are now decorating and updating with love, humour, comfort, and -of course- antiques and art!
We adore France and its many unique facets: its people, culture, landscapes, wine, food, art, and history. We also love being surrounded by châteaux, both public and private, which we can explore together! After 20 years here, we have learned many things about living in France, renovating châteaux, and appreciating the extraordinary riches surrounding us. We originally decided to make these videos as a way to share our lives with our loved ones worldwide during the pandemic lockdowns. However, we soon realised that many others are at home alone, and it is our privilege to open our home to you, our new friends. So glad i could be of help. My boy Arlo, a Japanese Spitz, has this problem, but a diet high in things high in collagen (trachea, chicken wings, etc) seems to be helping keep dislocation events way down until they hardly happen. Hugs from rural NZ.

My little Bichon has been wearing a cone on his head for over 2 weeks now and has a shaved leg also! He had a tumor removed from his liver! (Huge success!) I can’t wait to be rid of the cone though and for his next grooming ❣️💙

They have a beautiful permanent exhibition of cameos dating from the classical antiquities and the middle ages up to the 17th century, It was jaw dropping beautiful!

Bowie is so sweet and am sue the healing witll go well, I know that it is uncomfortable right now. The cameo was exquisite. The candlesticks wil look lovely no matter where they go as they just fit in perfectly with the gold exterior. FYI We have had various doggy puppy situations. Labrador hit by car. Beagles with rumors. And more. We live in St. Louis area the home of Purina farms. Started with Purina 1 dog chow for joint health. Miracle cure. Just right amount of absorbable Gloucosomine. Directions tell how much per weight and breed.

❤ This is a lovely channel to watch it always makes me smile . Pleased the fluffy Bowie leg is getting better , he a very lovely fur child so cute . The Jewelry gift is gorgeous and it's so nice to hear a Chatelaine have thankfulness for getting a gift . I sent 2 big gifts to a Chatelaine lately and little does she know 3 pairs of French nets , pillowcases and tea towels that she said she was short off seem not to go down well 😔 . The postage was nearly $400 on its own and I did send them because she was having a bit of a rough time with things going wrong . My little schnauzer/poodle has level 2 reflexating patella she has it on all fours. However: Lily is 15.5 yrs. Old and walks two miles daily. Just walk your puppy regularly and hopefully ypu won't have any more issues.❤much love and mamy blessings🙏✝️
