Coach Art, I really enjoy your tips. I’m a 79 yo youngster currently averaging 204 but just coming back from 10 1/2 week layoff because of a shoulder injury. I rolled my 15 career 309 in Sept and then injured my shoulder the end of Oct. Rolled the front 9 a week ago and then left a ringing 10 pin on the first ball of the 10th. My 😂balance is getting better and I’ll use your balance tips in my Monday in my practice session. Beat the ball to the line…

Thank you Christopher we try to keep our videos short and easy to watch. While keeping good information coming. Hope you continue to watch. My personal favorite video is the piwer step. Mostly because of the impact it had on our junior program it motivated the other kids in our program to develop one. Thanks for watching and see you on the lanes

I look forward to sharing your Star Wars comment with my kids!!! Also thank you for your extra tips as this is one of the big things we work on by holding the pose at the line till the ball hit's the pins for balance as well as learning your balls path.

I used to be all over the place and basically just winged the whole delivery. Constantly falling off my shots and getting around the ball far too early 😒 now I'm starting and ending on balance and under control at the foul line. The more my approach and release became the same the higher my scores have climbed. Now I'm very conscience of the entire delivery process and keep behind the ball far better. This is the way to better scores and carrying more strikes! Keep coaching us, cause at 66 now I'm getting dangerous 😳 and bowling my best and highest consistent scores ever! Thanks again Coah Art 🎨 ✨️

I had been away from bowling for a long time. Back in my younger days, I was a 170 average bowler. Not bad for a recreational enthusiast. Now that I have come back to the sport, I have really struggled with balance. This video is excellent and timely. I will be working hard to incorporate Art's tips next time out. On the way home, I'll work on my Yoda imitation so I can do that as well as Art does too.

Thank you for watching, balance is the key to this sport. Try a no step drill where your toe is curled to the floor while swicthing your arms. It reall helos the balance.

Great video. 1 question. Every time I try thumb down on the balance arm, I notice my ball pushes further right. Thumb up or side ways, the ball travels in the correct direction. Any thoughts
@ArtOfBowling6 жыл бұрын
Try exaggerating the pushoff left when you put the thumb down to get it to the right spot. If it doesnt work dont sweat it too much everyone is different. Id love to see video of everyone that posts in here i love to give feedback.

Mine is my dang trail leg it stays straight behind me dragging my toe lol

I am trying to get back into keeping my leg down on the ground, my trail leg. I hurt my groin and I couldn't keep it on the floor like use to, but now that it's feeling better I am trying to get my self out of that bad habit I created to avoid pain. Any suggestions on how to remind myself to keep my trail leg down? I know what I need to do I just seem to forget after a couple of shots.
@ArtOfBowling6 жыл бұрын
Repetition of throwing the ball with the leg on the ground. No step drill. Get into the finish position and roll the ball. Also getting eileens bowling buddy swing trainer to do this at home. I will be doing a drills video using some of the bowling buddies training tools soon.

Kwu Northstar I think I remember watching a video of Parker Bohn or Norm Duke saying he tries to tap the pinky toe of his trail leg on the ground. If you do that, you’ll definitely keep that leg grounded

What do I do if I end up dropping the ball too much, as hard as I try sometimes I get the ball hitting the lane too hard.
@ArtOfBowling6 жыл бұрын
Glad you asked! It will come from a few things. First is and most common reason is a bad fit. There is a saying among coaches that we cant out coach a bad fit. A span that is too long will have you dropping the ball. In the drills video there is a demo on a drill just standing at the line and throwing the ball. Project the ball as far down the lane while doing this. The next video we will be discussing fit and how to talk to you pro shop operator to get the feel you need. Thanks for watching and ask any time
