Somebody's been reading our threads on the Bowser Boards. I'm quite pleased to see this Bowser video is not just focused on Uthrow, but on all of Bowser's tech. When it was over, I was surprised that the run time for the video was only 5 minutes. It covered so many topics that I'm struggling with thinking of things he missed. None of which are big picture stuff or relevant outside of a few matchups. Very impressive work.

I personally think his Up Throw buff was waaaayy too good. I've faced several Bowsers online who are bad players (always doing the classic Down B/Down Air when they're above you, etc), but they got a few grabs that lead to Nairs or Up Airs and I was dead. Seriously, Bowser only needs a few grabs and you're done. That's all. And with his insane speed, it's not easy to NOT get grabbed by him... it's crazy

I think the up throw should be kept the same for the most part, but the up throw to up air kill window should be made a hell of a lot tighter. He has a freaking 40% KILL WINDOW on all weight classes at minimum; the Hoo-Hah wasn't that crazy!

Man I love these "combos & tricks" vids you do. Very insightful and helpful! ~ I was looking for another character to learn and I thought MK was too nerfed to use, though I liked his up air into shuttle loop combo. But only through your video I found he got better and better via updates, and the combos, specially the fast-fall bair, dtilt lock, dash atk into the uair>shuttle loop combo. I still need to master my timing with the perfect pivot, but that and the dtilt > dimension cape and ledge trump bair has helped me immensely!! now I feel like perfecting the tactic and use MK as my next character so I don't rely on only Sonic, Robin, Greninja, and Mewtwo (once again thanks to your vid xP). Keep up the great work!

I would love it if you could do some Robin stuff. There's so much stuff you can do it can be a bit overwhelming, and even with all the stuff I do know I think there's still room for improvement. Also I think it would be a fantastic chance to get more educated on the strange interaction between Arcthunder and the meteor hit of LSDair. Essentially, if your opponent is under a character specific percent and you Dair them while they are trapped in Arcthunder, then the combo for some odd reason uses the angle of Arcthunder's linking hits when calculating Knockback Stacking. The linking hits all have an angle of 366 degrees. In Smash 4 angles 365, 366, and 367 are all slightly different versions of an Autolink angle, where the angle always knocks them in the direction the attack or attacker is moving (this is so opponents cannot SDI out of Arcthunder or be launched by any type of reverse hitbox). So when the Dair hits, it meteors sideways since that's the direction you are moving.

If you slow down the part with Ledge trumping with Bowser Bomb, you can see that Shulk actually grabs the ledge before Bowser hits him, which means either Sakuri forgot to give Shulk I-frames from grabbing the ledge or that Shulk was grabbing the ledge for the second time.

Bowser's second custom B Dash Slash is extremely good for a forward air follow up. You can also "waveslash" with it, and the length is varies depending on how far you are from the ground (you slide the fastest and farthest when done closest to the ground).

Fun Fact: Tough Guy allows Bowser to make some moves unsafe. The best example is Marth/Lucina doing their SideB and doing the downwards finisher. You'd think that a finisher would keep Bowser away, but no, punish in the face. Nobody ever expects that. Being able to run through some projectiles without powershielding is scary too.

X'D I just found out about Bowser's Jab cancel and immediately tried it on the 3DS. I did that shit the entire match. It's actually easy to pull off once you master the timing, which isn't that hard at all. I was able to successfully jab cancel this Ganondorf almost the entire match. I think he got so frustrated that he accidentally warlock punched instead of recovering back to the ledge and SD'd. I haven't laughed that hard in a while. Thanks for figuring all this shit out, man! 👍👍👍

1:07 In my opinion an autocanceled Forward air is better at baiting imo against floaties that can get out easily from this bait. Forward air provides you a way to hit with some priority your opponent if never he decides to punish your non-offensive option instead of airdodging. Plus it autocancels so you won't suffer from the fastfall landing lag. I would punish the airdodge with a regrab or a Jab mix-up against characters that can Nair pretty fast outta airdodge to outspeed FSmash. Good video, made me learn how to recover higher up with Bowser so thanks man :)

I found a Hoo-Hah on Marth. It's a combo. But I'm not sure if it's a true combo because you can DI it but I haven't got a buddy with me to test it so it's up to you. It kills a ZSS at 94% without DI so here you go. Grab -> Pummel (The pummel MUST be used) D-Throw -> Mash your double jump (Or do a full hop then use your double jump as soon as you get in the air) then do an Up-Air. It's more of a KC instead of a Hoo-Hah though :P

+My Smash Corner Why does nobody cover Bowser's Up Special as a combo move? By itself it does 35%. That's right, just one aerial Up Special is 35%, his single strongest move (no, I'm not joking). It combos out of up throw to high percents as well, so it can rack up serious damage AND it can easily be negated by simply getting on a ledge after. Two to three Up Throw to Up Special combos puts any character in kill percent.

Unfortunately, they added some knockback to his Up throw in the recent patch. I can no longer do the combo, thou I hear the timing is a bit stricter, so I may just be bad. Good thing I decided to look into ROB again before the patch dropped. Anyway, as a heads up, percents are different. I hear it won't connect at all after 100, and I certainly couldn't on a Mario around 70-90.

This is really late, but I would also add that while a bit unorthodox, if you're falling towards the ledge from high up, hitting fire breath as you fall will make it so your opponent can't try to fuck with you as you're falling/landing. Another useful manuever for spacing.
