Danny decides its time for a new bow since the bearing in his current rig is making noise.

Good to see an average guy going in and testing various brands without being tied to a specific brand. What was interesting is that what would be considered the runner up (in his eyes, er hands) was the Status. Posted the fastest fps and got a second "shoot" by him before he chose the PSE. Good video. Goes to show that bashing or uber elevating bows based on their companies probably leads to leaving some good bows on the shelf unnecessarily.

First off, I’m a new sub to your channel. Honestly, this was extremely enjoyable to watch. I was very intrigued to see which one you would pick, what you would say about each one NOT KNOWING what the manufacture was. I think everyone should buy a bow like this, myself included. How are you storing and transporting the bow with that long dovetail sight? Taking it off to fit in the case or unscrewing it and pushing the sight closer to the bow for transport? Thanks

Since it’s a dovetail It has set positions on it so he is able to slide it all the way in when it’s in the case and then slide it back out, tighten the locking screw and it’s ready to rock again. -Mark

I’m running the PSE QAD drop away, and I just moved my fast eaddy XL over to my new bow. I also moved my bee stinger maxx Hunter 10 over. It’s scooting 430gr arrows at 310fps on the 90% let off setting.

I 100% agree about Penetration with micro diameter arrows. X-Impact with the F.O.C outsert just sinks in deep to the 3d targets. I've never seen an arrow penetrate like that before.. insane. Brand new target and half the shaft is passed through

Awesome video, and what an experience for the guy buying the bow. This is why asking other people's opinion on what bow YOU should buy is just a waste of time. Everybody's different. I purchased 2 bows this year. An Elite Remedy, and a Mathews V3 31. I shot all of the offerings that there are. I am a 30.5" draw guy, so take all that follows with a grain of salt. Here are my thoughts on them. PSE EVL 34. I actually hated the draw cycle, at my draw length there was an ugly hump at the end of the draw that I could not get rid of, no matter what let off. It was an EC cam variety. After the shot there was a noticeable jump forward, and the grip felt like a giant cheap dog toy. I know it can be removed... The draw weight also felt heavier than most other bows at the same poundage. Hoyt Ventum 33. Pretty impressed with the Hoyt this year. Again a major mud at the end of the draw cycle. Felt barely any handshock, and finally they made a quiet bow. Not much of a fan of shims when comes to tuning, and it had a noticeable cam lean. This by far was the heaviest feeling bow I tried. I am also not a fan of the riser and the silly looking bridge they always had. It to me actually looks like a tweaked riser from about 10 years ago. Xpedition X33. Cool technology, botched design as far as putting it together. Loud, and the draw cycle was heavy and inconsistent. Took 3 shots, and handed it back. Would never give up my DLX for this bow. And the price is just stupid for a mid tear bow company. Bowtech Solution. In my opinion this is a downgrade from both the Revolt X and the SR6. Which it was trying to be a hybrid of. This bow held the worst for me, as well as the worst groups. I do like their grips and the cam moving technology, when it does not seize up. Prime Nexus 6. By close this was almost a bow I purchased. Smooth draw cycle, awesome string angle, and barely any vibration. I just could not get passed the Prime ding sound their bows make upon release. This bow was way better in every single category than the 2 or the 4. The grip is absolutely amazing, and their string replacement program is one of a kind. Elite Remedy. After 5 shots I fell in love with this bow. It points naturally, has the most repeatable grip, quiet and barely any handshock. I also shoot 3 inch groups at 60 yards with 5 arrows with this bow consistently. The SET technology is stupid simple, and I also got the best money to performance ratio with this peach. The draw cycle is smooth, somewhat heavy but very consistent from start to finish without any humps. The strings are also top notch. I have a feeling this guy is coming with me on opening day. Mathews V3 31. This bow is a killing machine. Quiet, handshock free and a joy to shoot. Once dialed in it is a tack driver. Will be my choice for ground blind hunting. The draw cycle is somewhat heavy, but again very consistent. No humps at all. The long riser makes it hold like a way longer ATA bow. Again these are my findings, if you want a new bow there is only one person who can decide which is right for you. YOU!

I shot the pse evl 32 next to a mathews v3 and elite enkore. After the first round I sent the elite back on the shelf. I went back and forth with the evl 32 and the v3 for about 5 rounds. I felt more comfortable with the evl 32 and liked the draw cycle better. The v3 is a great bow, but I ended up ordering the pse evo evl 32 with 80# limbs. Just started setting it up today.

That’s awesome! I did like the V3 it was very smooth and surprisingly fast for how quiet it was. The draw cycle and feel of the execution and how nice it felt at full draw is what sold me on the EVL. I’m currently all set up at 30.5” draw and 70lbs this thing is sending 430gr arrows at 310fps.

@@SwampNStomp I got the rest setup yesterday (trophy taker smackdown lockup) and sent some arrows through the chronograph. However, once you locked up the launcher (similar to a QAD), the launcher wouldn't drop upon release. So, I had to cut my day short and head back to exchange the rest. At 80# 27.5" a 500g arrow went 268 fps and a 400g arrow went 300 fps.

You arrow penetration conversation needs some refinement and research into why penetration differences exist. I'd recommend reading a lot of Ashby reports and the science of penetration. I could out penetrate someone shooting the arrow shot in this video and 70lb draw at 29 inches with my 28.5 inch draw at only 62lbs purely based on arrow build. I know a buddy who shoots a 55 lbs longbow that can out penetrate me with my compound set up due to his arrow build. LOVE the blindfold concept, 100% what more folks need to do.

if You want to make a good target, get from the computer stores o similar the cardboard boxes of the computers... Grab some industrial sponges and cover inside a 1 line of sponges... on the other empty area of the box, fill it with wipes or fabric waste... close it remembering the side of the sponges... they have to be facing the archer... If You stuffed good with wipes or fabric leftovers material... there is no arrow that will go through your box, no matter how heavy Your box is or arrow you shoot. Once You feel the front of Your box is all used up or destroyed, Just add or glue to that front face another cardboard not the whole box... and You are ready to keep shooting on the same target (do not wet-it of course) if all the box is destroyed, just change the box and the sponges, the fabric material You can keep using it over and over again, arrow do not get damaged, good stopping, even if You use feathers, normally will never go inside the cardboard box... If You need more explanation or the process.... let me know...

The evl has a problem wt the cable guard. It is breaking do to ware. A company called TAP sells tittum cable guards and that stops the problem. I had a pse shootdown explode on me. And I still shoot pse. I am not a pussy

Is it just me or the IBO estimate is way off .They rate bows at 350 fps and they wouldnt shoot 300fps with a 425 grain arrow!! I shoot bear and the 1st bow the guy tried was over 300fps. looks like the bear bow is the fastest!!

I think that he confused #1 with #3. He liked the drawing cycle and the back wall and how light it was, and that was #3 the mathews. I for one don't trust this kind of video because this dealers like to push the bows of the companies who sponsor them best. I know because I work with a dealer that sells various brands name bows. In my opinion there was a little deception. I really thought he was going to pick the mathews. Just watch the video again. As for me I prefer an Elite. Give them a try. I use to shoot pse because they sponsor me and gave me great deals on their products. Sometimes they reward me with the bow. I retire and don't shoot in tournaments anymore.

That has to be one of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard in regards to setting up someone’s draw length!!!!! DO NOT SHOOT 30-30.5” DRAW!!!! You really need to be in that 28.5-29” draw. You’re d-loop and release adds more length to the bows overall “draw length” which subsequently will make you shoot a shorter draw length.

I’m shooting 30” and it feels noticeably more comfortable than 29”. I’d say the proof is in the pudding. The “bow tech” could be anything else except lazy. He put in some hours to make this happen and made the changes where it mattered. I couldn’t be happier with the results. -Danny

@@justindunn3496 Justin, You are completely incorrect. And even more-so ignorant to speak so confidently about something you have no understanding of. The reason each bow is set to different draw lengths is because each bow although has a “x” sized draw length, does not mean they draw exactly to that draw length. For instance, a 30” draw in Mathews bow is actually a 29.5” draw mod, as it draws 5/8” long. Pse 30” mods are an actual 30”. Each bow is different. Very few manufacturers will be spot on. Secondly, your d-loop absolutely does not change your draw length. Your draw length is the distance from the front of the grip to the peak of the string. The d loop is not included in this measurement. The only distance the d loop will change is the your exact anchor position. A longer d loop will allow your hand to sit further back on your face, whereas a shorter d loop will bring your hand closer to your chin. Neither of which change your draw length. So before you talk down to other people, or give your incorrect opinion- preface your statement by saying “i think” or “ my understanding is”- because there are people who do not know any better and will think a jackass like yourself knows what they’re talking about. End rant.
