I‘m a retired oral surgeon and (thank god) I will never have to do that, but ........ this was a morning Zen session! And for that, even though I normally hate music in the background of videos, this one was helping with the Zen feeling. I forgot to eat my muesli! It was a pleasure watching you, you would have made a good surgeon too. Thanks for sharing, colleague!

I used to work in a Subaru dealership and was always fascinated when watching the mechanics putting these and the 6 cyl engines back together. These engines are for the most part, long living and dependable.

That's the only reason I like it. To see what those who love these cars have to deal with. Lots of O rings and small fasteners. Too few head studs too far away from the cylinders. A complicated engine with a million parts. Or so it seems.

Watching the meticulous attention to detail and the quality of the re-build, this is one man I would trust with my engine re-build if I lived a little closer (I'm in New Zealand). Top quality video; very impressed

Awesome and you made it look easy if you got the right tools and equipment. I love the wrapping and boxer tape.

Tools, equipment and skill. Skill being a very major factor. I learned that the hard way when i decided to replace my rear wheel bearings on my own. I know a guy with a proper shop that lets me work there on my car, so tools and equipment were there. Took me friggin 8 hours to replace one! Didn't have the time or nerves to start with the second. Had to ask another guy with a shop if he could do it, cause the other went on vacation. Came back after about 1.5h to check up on progress and caught him putting my wheel back on.

Pretty sure the camera is on his chest in the beginning and when he mounts the 3rd and 4th piston he has moved it to his forehead. You can see when he uses the flashlight to check if the lock is in place the POV is either too low or too high, to properly see it.
