Absolutely love your videos! I wish you would just keep making these to cover every aspect of airhead tech topics. I would happily pay for your video series if thats what it takes to keep these videos coming.

Terrific, and one of the most useful of the Airhead maintenance channels on YT. Much thanks!

That was a good one! Thanks for doing such a great job describing (with the video as well) how to look at a wiring chart and trouble shoot the problem.

Notching the ground strap ring seems so obvious, yet I've been pulling it all the way out all these years. Not so bad in a /5 but a bit fiddly on a /6. Thanks for the tip!

I love these video series!! Even got some diagnosing tips with this video for the starter and brake lamp circuits. Has definitely helped me along the way with my /6. Safe travels my friends.

Great videos and storytelling. I've started using isopropyl alcohol as a lubricant to get tight fitting rubber bits to slide. It evaporates unlike WD-40, etc.

I just love these series. Because I just bought a 72 R60/5. There are other videos but this is the best by far. Thank you so much and please keep up the good work.

This video was especially helpful to me right now. When I try to start my 1980 BMW R100T, the brake failure light comes on and the bike won't start. I learned to do some tests from this video. Thanks!

I think it’s possible to verify the starter switch by jumping battery positive to coil positive and pressing the switch to engage the starter. Also this lights up the instrument light cluster. This doesn’t isolate the starter relay but verifies the starter, dash cluster and the starter switch if they are all functioning. Great demo and exactly the electrics tour I was searching for.

Like always, great videos! I appreciate taking the time to show us how to trouble shoot the starter relay. Very helpful and we know where to go to get our parts too! Thank you!

a very nice and detailed video again ! i am living in Paris following all your videos one by one, i disassembled almost completely my old 75/5 that was sleeping in my dad garage since 19 years. i am about to place my first order of spare parts and start reassembling. One general comment to improve efficiency for orders , it would be very good to get a button that recap in one click all spare parts and tools available for purchase related to each video. Felicitation again for the quality of your videos!

Great informative video. I recently removed the Acid battery from my R80 G/S 1981 and replaced it with a Lithium one. I then tried to start bike. All lights, turn lights and horn working but not cranking. No sound . Should I assume Relay damaged and check ignition switch before taking any action?

What do you suppose a symptom of corrosive coil contacts are, as referenced at 10:33 ? Could that lead to weak/red spark?
@boxer2valve5 жыл бұрын
Hi, yes corrosion can result in anything from weak spark, intermittent spark or no spark. Good solid connections are important!

My 1980 R100T has been sitting in pieces for four years. I went to put the headlight back in the bucket and can't get the bottom to go in. I loosen the screw like you said till it was even with the nut, still no go. What am I missing? The chrome headlight ring is new, purchased four years ago, but never installed. Could it be the wrong ring?
@nv-slim47795 жыл бұрын
I got it. Apparently, I had the clips that hold the reflector into the chrome trim ring were to close to the bottom. I relocated one on each side of the lock-down screw and the bottom fit. Still wasn't as easy as the video, but with a little convincing from the side of my fist, it finally popped in. Amen! Thanks so much for the videos!!!
